Whilst in Iceland, i took a whole range of photos/bribery material but I've decided its better released to the public domain for us all to laugh at.
After arriving in Reykjavik and dumping most of our stuff at CCP, we (Jamesw and I) visited the Hotel Luna Apartments, at which Xyliana, Xod, Hinik and spiralJunkie were staying.
needless to say, their expensive tastes had netted them the penthouse, providing them with views over some of downtown RVK:
Random houses, oh and it had also been snowing. This is taken in the general direciton of the CCP offices.
One of the beautiful things about RVK is the way it's surrounded by mountains on one side, although they're nicer to look at when in the warmth of a house!
Later that night we went out to a sushi bar called Maru, where I decided that since I was possibly never going to get the chance I would consume whale for dinner! It was really nice actually, and strangely the cheapest meal we ordered. Hinik and spiral felt they had to impersonate some local wildlife, although they could only really accomplish a hideous abomination more commonly known as "I R WALRUS".
Given that Iceland was said to have only a few hours daylight at this time of the year, I was pleasantly surprised to find that when I finally woke up around midday, that 'sunrise' was still occuring. Walking into CCP was potentially fatal with most surfaces iced over. The house james and I were staying in was near teh RVK city airport, and due to the ice, they were prudently deicing the runway.
The trip to CCP HQ took a while, and allowed us to admire some of the landscape outside RVK, such as the mountains, and the, err, other mountains, oh and the waterfront.
Sunset was as spectacular as sunrise, but you can see just how fun it would be walking without boots.
I'm not entirely sure what this is. It could be LSD related...
Looking out from Luna, you can see more of the beautiful skyline.
Later on that week, we met up and let LeMonde rob us of more money in several games of poker. oh and we also had a little to drink. Andrew Gunn got a little drunk on his bottle of vodka and passed out for half the night, which allowed spiralJunkie to take pictures of Andrew whilst in the vicinity of spiral's nether regions. Fortunately I lack a set of these hardcore photos!

Walking back into CCP a few days later, Jamesw and I took an alternate route that swung us past some more of RVK's views. During the early part of our stay there, the lake was frozen solid, however it unfroze and then refroze later on. I wasn't keen on dying from hypothermia so left walking on it to another time!
CCP has changed a little since fanfest, and has lost some of its more Minmatar features. Although it's still rugged in places.
The moon paid us a visit later on that night, and posed for some photos.
this was at about the end of the first weekend of broadcasting, and it allowed us to sightsee a little. The church in the earlier photos dominates the skyline and is a symbol of the Icelandic mentality. It stands above the skyline in a similar fashion to living in the remote wilderness, that is Iceland.
i don't recall taking any drugs, but somethings afoot! We also got hte chance to witness the aurora borealis. They were amazing and apparently its not often they are seen with such clarity within the city limits, due to the light pollution. Unfortunately I'd broken my better camera, so was left with my crappy digital to attempt to photograph them.
A fwe days later, Jamesw, Trevedian, LeMonde, Hinik, Farjung and I went to an out of the way (lol whatever) club called Pravda. Jamesw was telling us how much he loved to dance and showed us in the funniest way possible:
You can't touch this, how you doin'? Most of us gave it ago at some point, some more than others though. Jamesw again, and again, and again. Although being the geeks we are, there comes a time when duty calls.
Trevedian is a party animal, and yes, more of Jamesw. They are in there somewhere.
We managed to get LeMonde in by using Hinik's id, since the drinking age is 20 in Iceland. However this meant that Hinik had no id to get in himself with, so left to meet up with some devs and GM's. LeMonde felt bad about this. Some randomness, a ceiling, more of Jamesw and a girl almost falling out of her top, and more http://homepages.nildram.co.

It seems, by looking at these pictures, that I have a thing for Jamesw. Fortuanately for me, there were many ladies present to occupy my thoughts!
After Pravda, we moved onto another establishment selling intoxicating liquor, which again, we had to smuggle LeMonde into. Fortunately he is a good actor and can waltz past the security!
More beer, more dancing and fortunately more lovely Icelandic people, although she turned out to be Polish. I think at this point Jamesw lost his beer, and the woman dancing with him made her get away (bottom left)
The next day we made our way into CCP to abuse their fast internet connection, only to find that some people (Hinik) can't handle a good night out (LeMonde).
One of the other nice things about Iceland, is that everyone gets festive. It's probably because it's dark alot of the time, they love putting out colourful lights and decorations. One of the common ones is sticking fibre optic cables to trees. They move with the wind, and assuming you're not blind can look very nice.
The only trouble comes when the footpath is a sheet of ice, and walking in the road is safer.
After the second weekend of broadcasts, the set had to be taken down. Fortuantely the builders were almost finished outside so we could return their things.
One additional bonus of being in CCP, is that you get to buy all the phat lewt before it hits the store!
So that was EVETV II, at least what I remembered to photograph of it anyway!

There was some behind me, and in some photo's you can see there's a doorway at the back, it lead through to the main bar, and then there was a third, upstairs area. It is a lot bigger than the pictures make it seem!
