My name is xxxTRUSTxxx, I founded the Galactic Rangers in May 2005, we joined EVE-online in Jan 2007 and here we are still going and now looking to recruit YOU!

As a former member, I succumbed to the pressure my friend put on me for I'd say three years to join them. The corporation I'm in now was in a far greater state than the one it is now and it was before this state that I said screw it and joined -G R-
Believe me, while I left the corporation only recently, I never will regret the time I've spent in the corporation. I learned a whole lot more in my year with them compared to the other years. They're not in the best state right now but when they get back into their rhythm, they will be a force to be reckoned with.
Make the investment, you won't regret it.

10% of my earnings and what would it do? would be a better question.
corp offices are not always cheap but a much needed cost.
structure maintenance and running. you want to build cheaper and research faster don't you?
internal market funds. the corp likes to buy your stuff, the corp needs isk to pay you for it,, right 
a small cash flow through a 10% tax rate keeps things rolling and allows for expansion and growth within the corp (skill wise)
there's times we'll invest in a corp members sklls or equipment needs. all these things cost isk and of coarse that's not the only way a corp would earn isk for running costs. but it's a small part of it that helps to pay the bills.
but as i said tax rates can and do change
