On a mining op with my new corp last night,I zoomed out to solarsystem view and then homed in on my barge, only to find this thing crawling round on my strip miner.
"Guys", I said, "there's something chewing on my ship"
Silence from the guys.
Guys thinking "OMG we've taken on a nutter"
Well can someone explain this please?

You can't link directly from your harddrive...
Convert it to jpg then upload it to imageshack or evefiles.

Its a known bug with the solar system map, for some reason it will zoom in on something local while zooming out to the solar system view, that is a mining drone

I've had this happen to me, though not in warp. I wasn't even near a belt and I had 3-4 of these on my ship.

Mining drone.
Just a visual bug, nothing to worry about. I remember when they would multiply when mining a roid and stay there after it popped.
But the best visual bug was when other objects used to "hitch a ride" when you went to warp (other ships, roids, stations, planets)
