after running 1246 patch for a few weeks, i get this really horrible lag that takes me 4 mins to do everything e.g.. logging, docking, undocking. uninstalled and did a fresh install up to 1238 patch and everything's fine. anyone else having this prob?

Clearing the cache subdirectory seems to help.

mem-leak prolly..
Is it laggy, or does it just take a long time to load stuff?
Does it happen right off the bat, or does it get progressively worse the longer you play w/o relogging?
Prolly the mem-leak.. it's definitely back in a mild way, with the 1246 version.

well it was ok for a few weeks. but then right before the weekends, everytime i try to log on it'd take me a couple of mins(usually 4 or more mins). if i were to try to undock/dock... same 4 or more mins. if i were outside station and someone warps in... that's another lag

I find it takes forever just to log on without patching, so I doubt it is the patch tbh.

like i said, i was running fine on 1246 for a couple of weeks and one day it just up and lagged out on me. a corpmate of mine told me that a few folks were having this prob and that uninstalling and reinstalling with patch only up to 1238 seemed to fix the prob. well i guess it fixed it and now i'm fine. mind you, i had this prob for 3 nights in a row so i'm pretty sure that the patch was the prob. i'm just hoping they fix the patch before forcing it
i'm going to patch it with 1246 again tonight to make sure it's the prob.

This is *exactly* the same problem I'm having. Have you filed a bug report about it? The more they get, the more likely they'll fix it. It's unplayable ... I'm using 1238 now, but after they patch, I'm not sure I'll be able to.
