Ok, in the exploration sites, you sometimes find unstable wormholes. Has anyone found any way to interact with them or are they just static collidable objects?

Hm would be cool if you could find temporary wormholes in 0.0 that due to randomness factor when you jump in it either:
A. Let you suddenly appear somewhere in empire, maybe Amamake or Syndicate
B. Throws you to the far end of the universe (depending on where you are already).
C. Lets you find a secret 0.0 solarsystem not on the map with no stargates and field after field with Arkonor, but only way out is another wormhole or selfdestructing your pod.
D. A starship graveyard with derelic Jove ships waiting to be salvaged but you have to kill the guard dogs first.
E. Something else (Insert your own idea here)
CCP could do something really cool with this if they want and for the exploring player the fun would be that he/she never know what to expect. Death or riches, only the brave find it out.
/me jumps into a wormhole and ends up in Branch suddenly face to face with 50 D2
Err hi - don't shoot me

If you look at the landmarks map you'll see spots where your finding these worm holes are actually referred to in the landmark description in short there scenery

Part of the fun of exploring is finding stuff that serves no other purpose then looking cool. If exploration only netted isk gathering stuff, it wouldn't be exploration, but just another way of npc'ing

The unstable wormholes could be an avenue for expansion. Dumping more and more little dots and lines to the map just makes it more clunky and confusing. Having a wormhole to a 'new' map would be a viable idea for the next expansion, or perhaps a paid expansion.
We can't fight in Jove space, that would be..crap. The Jove Empire would own us, there aren't enough Jove, and they are too advanced to have rogue factions. Besides, wormholes (see eve wormhole) seem to be transports of greater distance than even the jumpgates.
So ..small wormholes. And ALIENS! Real aliens. The wormholes are dotted around, and there arent any stations in 'alen space' so that the faction wars don't get sucked out of 'normal'space. Jumping though a wormhole leads to a random place in alien space. Since its random the vastly superior aliens can't defend very well - but you can still raid their planets for resources till their main fleet show up...
or something. That turned into a bit of a ramble. I'll stop now :D

Well I don't mean you should be able to open the wormhole and crapload of is were poured on you. Instead, it'd be cool if you even could use it and maybe end up in a worthless place just looking cool. As it is now, finding no purpose or use for the wormhole it is in itself a dissappointment. At least I couldn't find anything useful in the ones I found.

If CCP ever opens up interactable wormholes, it'd probably be the big one in the middle where all these terrestial humans would come pouring out. - EVE is sick. |

No... you reverse the polarity of the main deflector dish so it can emit a quantum neutrino stream, which stabalizes the wormhole. Unfortunately doing so damages the holodeck which you were in, causing the characters to go nuts, one of them steals your credit card and charges $30 for the expansion. --- Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising up every time we fail. - Emerson |
