Is it just me or does anyone else notice the drop in character SP worth within the last week or so?
Last week I sold a 4m SP miner for 1b ISK. Now I see 9m SP character selling for 900m.
So SP is no longer worth 200m per 1m SP and its back down to 100m per 1m SP?

I guess I won't be selling my interceptor/interdictor pilot any time soon.

Maybe the 800k that new characters start with has something to do with it too. To get a character to 4m SP still takes time, but it takes about 3/4 the time it used to. And yeah, like he said, specialization is a big deal.

I certainly wish it's 100 mil per 1 mil sp now. I can't get a decent character around 9 mil sp without paying through my freaking ass. Specialization will only raise the price so much unless the character has substantial ammount of SP. A 6 mil sp character that flies covert ops ships to a T doesn't mean it's worth 2 freakin billion isk. A dictor pilot with 9 mil sp goin for 2.5 bil? Insane. I was hoping to get a decent spec'd character before christmas but I guess i'll need to take much longer than normal to sift through the **** characters.

Is it just the price of starter characters that have taken a big hit? I think no matter what the supposed Isk/SP ratio is at a certain time that rule can only be applied to a certain point. I don't see why anyone would pay a Billion ISK for a 5m SP character that can fly a couple of tech2 frigs decently. However, i can see how high demand and relatively lowsupply for a 35m Dread/Carrier/Mom capable character would push the price to something well over 200m ISK per 1m SP. To create a general market-paradigm for character worth is too difficult to attempt and I think scrutiny of the current Character Market as a whole can only produce quantitative results if one were to take a sample from a population of recently sold characters and looked at the aspects of each and every character. Can it fly capital ships? How well can they fly capital ships? What other tech2 ship or module capabilities does it have? Implants? Pirate implants?. There's a lot to consider and that's only half of the equation. Consider what race is currently considere the I-Win button or what types of weapon systems are popular. Consider a scenario in which there is a legitimate character in the Auction Forum that has Titan trained to level 4 including every skill needed to fly a Titan well. Taking into consideration all of the factors that could influence prices that I mentioned before, how much would that character sell for?
