Ok this has probably been mentioned and I havn't noticed but I noticed a few things weird about mass in this game.
Let me mention what I'm talking about... lately I have been flying both my blackbird and stabber and noticed using mwd the blackbird accelerated much faster than my stabber even tho my stabber had about 100 m/s higher speed with mwd turned off. I took a look at the info of each ship and noticed that the blackbird had a mass of 1.1 mil kg while the stabber has a mass of 6.5 mil kg. This doesnt seem quite right.
I also noticed that in the info listing of the weapons that were on both ships there are no mass figures for said modules.
How does the eve engine calculate accel rates? and why dont weapons/modules have mass that are calculated into the ships overall mass?
I guess its a funny question to ask now that I have been playing eve for 6 months now but I guess I just never payed attention to it before.

BB acceled fast because it was lighter, the Stabber has a high top speed because it has more powerful engines, just look at the ship. Its one big engine with guns mounted on it.

Hmmm I can understand a good bit of difference in mass, but 6:1?? Would have thought thats a bit over the top given the Stabber is a light cruiser.

This relates, someway. Have you guys noticed that flying in space isnt quite right either. You all know that you should move your... Eh, sorry, with my english skills I cant tell you, dont know the words.
But you have all seen how real spaceships move, and for exapmle how Starfurys move in Babylon 5

Uh... I thought acceleration was directly linked to ships agility?

does anybody don't see that you slow down in space!! You should have mention that before thinking about mass problems why the hell do my ship slow down in SPACE !!! is there any air in EVE universe space? or does the afterburner and microwarpdrive modules are fitted automaticaly with retrorockets?
I think this is not based on real life things just for playgame.
