Ok, I salvage sometimes I fail. I understand that percentage is dependant on what (if any) salvaging rigs I have fitted, and my skill in salvaging.
So the base is 5% with just salvaging one. And the limit is um, 70% with salvaging 5 and 3 T2 salvaging rigs.
Does this in any way affect the _amount_ of salvage I get? Is that static, is it just a case of getting the salvaging done or not getting done and as soon as it's done I get a specific amount of salvage regardless of skills/modules/rigs?

Oh, and your calculation is wrong. Salvager modules work separably, they don't add up together.
Perhaps you should read other threads about that topic before asking the same question yet again next time. ;)

If you know where these threads are I'd appreciate it if you could link them. Eve-search for some reason these days lags out more often than it finds anything. And frankly most salvage topics I've found have just been whines that CCP is the antichrist.
It's not easy coming here and picking up the information I'm looking for.
What you're saying is that I've a 25% chance with salvaging V, then a 15% chance, then a 15% chance, then a final 15% chance with each cycle, assuming I have 3 rigs on?

He didn't say anything about multiple modules you twit! Perhaps you should read the thread before telling somebody off.
And Stam, I'm going to venture a guess that that's how it works (salvager skill * rig bonus * rig bonus * rig bonus), at least thats how the armor repair rigs work.

Roger. So to be clear, the only point in fitting salvaging rigs is to salvage faster. Salvaging 10 ships without rigs will yield the same amount of stuff that salvaging 10 ships with rigs fitted will.

first point, correct
second point, incorrect
lvl 5 gives you 25%, salvage tackel ups this to 35%, a second tackle will up this to 45% per ship,- depending on the misson
