Hi!
Im training the learningskills on my Achura alt atm (soon to be main char) and now im considering the advanced learningskills and wonder how long it will take and when i will "break even". I have read the threads about it but i suck at math so i cant figure it out. It just gets my head messed up. 
These are my attributes now:
Intelligence15
Perception17
Charisma7
Willpower13
Memory11
And this is where my basic learningskills are at:
Analytical Mind 4(5) (248647 of 256000) (almost lvl 5, 96%)
Empathy 4 (45255 of 256000)
Instant Recall4 (45255 of 256000)
Iron Will4 (45255 of 256000)
Learning5 (256000 of 256000)
Spatial Aware..4 (45255 of 256000)
No implants.
My plan was to go into the advanced skills now and get them up to at least lvl 3.
Is it worth doing that when im not on lvl5 on all the basic ones?
If so, roughly how long would it take for me to get there and when would i break even and start gaining the time i have "lost"?
Greatful for all the help i can get.

It depends. I am not great with math either. However, this is the general plan that most seem to subscribe to.
Basic learning skills to 4.
Adv learning skills to 4.
This doesnt take into account your own boredom level OR the money needed to buy the advanced learning skills.
EVEMON is a great tool for figuring out the quickest and easiest way of learning things. It even will give you suggestions on what will make learning quicker.
Keep in mind, you havet to LIKE the game as well. Training learning skills only for the first few weeks to a month is boring. Plus, you are flying newbie ships with newbie gear as well, which makes making ISK harder.
But if you really just want to get through the learning skills now and get it over with, most recommend Basic Learning and Adv learning to 4.

According to EVEMON i will get the advanced skills to level 3 by December 21, and to level 4 around January 6. Thats not very long at all imo. Im having fun with my other char atm so thats no problem. The problem is the money. I have 11mill atm.
I still dont know how long it will take to get to the payoff. A month, 6 months, a year?

I had actually read that topic before but ive been reading so much that i guess the information has started to poor out through my ears, hehe.

If you plan playing long term, then train them all to at least level 4.
Some people dont bother with Charisma, but since its effecting more gang skills its worth doing.
An extra 8 points in your primary attribute you will train yer skill a LOT faster, especially as you train more skills to level 5.

Just started another charecter myself - The first skil I trained was cybernetics to 1 to be able to use +3 implants, on paper it looked like a good way to chop learning time on my attribute skills. The +3 are relativelly cheap and it gives a little jump start to decrease the learning skills time.
