Recently i tried to bid on an auction that wasn't in the same region and i got the mesage .. "You are not in the XXXXX region to be able to bid on the auction".
Is this a joke? Or you have to stay 6-7 days till the auction is ending in same region to be able to bid further, or travel each time u get the mesage .. "you have been outbid" to Jita to place another bid?
I really hope this is a bug ... or the auctions will be really of a verry limited use. What's the point you can see other region contract system if u can't operate them remotely?

I 100% agree, as a trader it is so frustrating that i cannot bid on an item out of my region! Especially if the person i selling it in a far off place so there is no way to goto the region. I think it would be far better if bidding was simply extended to anywhere.

so i should run 40 jumps back and forth each time i am outbid to Jita?

I agree that it's got a bit f***-up...
1st of all, it much harder to find the item of your wish, cuz you have to check all regions.
2nd it's pretty loosy that you cannot place your bid remotely (another region)... for example if you have nothing to do in a region (you have no good standing to agents nearby, or the area is hostile) and the auction has no buyout price, you have to stay in region until auction ends, so you can keep having the highest bid. THIS IS INSANE!
Most of the new things for contracting are charmingly useful, but the developers should consider changing this 2 things back to the original:
1. you could choose "whole galaxy" in area filtering
2. you could place bid for things in remote regions also
the rest is OK, even the skill need, tho it's a bit annoying, but yea, whynot? let it be.

Why cant i place bids? do i need a skill or something? I keep bidding, but it doesnt update, nor does it show any error messages

This could cause insane stress on the contracts/market databases, I think it's mostly for this reason that markets are limited to regions.

Since we can already see contracts linked by friends, I don't see where it would hurt anything, I say Yes and Yes and Yes to remote region biding!
