So... I hear that the directional scanner no longer picks up roids by intention. Say it ain't so, Joe!
I'm not a miner by nature but about once every couple of weeks I find myself doing it for some reason. I'd prefer the experience to be as short as possible and it would really accomodate that notion if I didn't have to be a Zen Click Master on all these tiny space rocks.
So being about --> <-- this close to submitting a bug appeal. Anyone know for certain that CCP did this on purpose? Link maybe?

lol @ the topic.
As for the post... Who cares? Why do you need roids to show up on the scanner anyways? They still show up on your overview. ~~~~~~~~~ Caldari. It's so easy a Minmatar could do it. |

Dude... roids on the overview is almost as bad as wrecks on the overview.
Sure, I can turn it on but then ***scroll*** my overview is useless for watching for... visitors.
meh. Whatever. Yet another reason to let someone else mine. /shudder

No, they do not show up on directional scanner anymore. Would ruin the entire exploriation thing, since you can now find roids that have no buisness of being in that system security rating. Like Gneiss in 0.4 space.
Kinda would defeat the purpose of exploring them if any idiot could find them on the scanner.

What do you want to mine? Open overview settings and just click that rock, save the setting, target 2 or 3, go back to your uber original setting for pvp, start mining, if you need to see more rocks, go back to the one you just saved.
If I can write it in one long crazy sentence with too many commas it is not that hard. ~~~~~~~~~ Caldari. It's so easy a Minmatar could do it. |

Commas are over rated. Rabble.
Good lord! This means I shall have to adapt!!! I'm off to Jita to hang myself on that funky statue outside of 4/4!
Anyway, I'm not quite buying the exploration explanation since the exploration experts seem to be saying that getting too close without a proper scan resolution = fubar. As in, they don't actually spawn until you are on grid with them anyway.
One of the cool things about EVE is there's usually multiple ways to get things done; right click something, click it and push some button on the ov, etc. Nuking the ability to scan for roids *if it wasn't really necessary* = bad in my book.
Sure, I can do it some other way. But was it really necessary to kill the scanner as an option? It left the ov alone to chill doing it's thing on the right side of my screen while my scanner was doing it's thing on the left.
Oh well. Old dog. New tricks. Woof.
