Sounds like you need to join a corp that has helpful members who can guide you. The one you're in seems useless. |

I'm bound to be useless because the whole null sec thing is new to me, But the corp I joined is good, It's in Providence, and The corp is in an alliance, so everyone in local is friendly. They gave me a free procurer and happily answered any questions I had about Low Sec. I guess I'll get better at the whole thing, Because for someone who has rarely ventured out High Sec before, it's different. Very different. I also don't know why people thought this was a troll post, because it really didn't intend to look like one. I am a newbie at this game, and I know the questions I asked were pretty stupid.
Get scammed once, shame on you...

One of the rare areas of the game where it really does matter if you have played this game for years or not, or are willing to do heavy Money->PLEX->ISK->BPO investment to maybe one day break even. I just don't see industry as a good choice for someone to start out in with intent of making ISK compared to other things. But, if they just like it, regardless of the drawbacks, well then that is something for them to do in this game.
This pilot is right on the ISK's. The time now needed to upgraded a BPO to it highest efficiency can take months of real time to get it there, plus the BPO is worthless while being upgrd, so make a few copies before you do. As for mining... it use to be fun exciting and profitable. Now its almost a waste of time. It won't change until there is a shortage on ships, weapons or modules which means pirates will then have to mine for themselves to replace their ships. The economy of EVE doesn't seem to be as health as it once was for the player. Plexes when I started was selling for around 400 million ISK's inflation and desperation is why they cost over a Billion. We use to be able to play EVE for free by Marketing are wares. Now if your not will be to use a C.C. (Credit Card) to play all the old players invested in the game simple fade away. And before anyone writes the negative feed back like: "Don't fly it if you can't afford to losing it". Who the hell can it's not a matter of flying anymore it a matter of being able to afford the game. |

If you can't afford $15/mo then you have far larger issues than the cost of PLEX in-game.
If you think you've won, think again.
The CODE always wins.

the time spent mining for plex might have been better spent checking the coin return slots of vending machines for sub money |

Mining income is kinda OK if you can login a lot but but usually need to be semi AFK or be on call to drop everything ... so keeping an eye on young kids, logging from work, have a very patchy net connection - stuff like that. If its a case of 20 mill an hour or no income, mining is better than nothing.
If you are actually able to give EVE your full attention there are better ways to do it.
Orcas btw make OK haulers if you tank them up a bit, sorta halfway between a DST and a freighter in capacity.
