From what CCP have indicated before, Titans might gain new roles that affect a whole battlefield similar to how wormhole effects work (not necessarily the same effects that wormholes have), but we'll see. It's pretty much useless IN groups right now. I literally don't care at all about what you want - your solo whims aren't what this ship should be balanced around.

They already nerfed the Titans years ago when they changed the Doomsday weapons from Fleet-Destroying-Super-Smartbombs to Wave Motion Guns only capable of targeting one ship. The trade off was greater HP to them in all areas, but the Titans still took a heavy hit. If there is one problem I could observe with the Titans and Dreadnoughts, it is that neither one can fly Drones or Fighters to defend themselves in anyway, with the only ship in the Capital Ship category that can field Drones or fighters being the Super-Carriers. After all, they have virtually no way of defending themselves from smaller ships due to the slow tracking speeds of XL turrets.
