As I have said countless times, the Amarr have no single reason to be superior. As the latest CONCORD press release shows, they are currently at the brink of a civil war.
I would like to see the different opinions of some Amarr about this, especially one of a leading PIE member. It would just be interesting to see reactions to this from "both sides".

uhh.... we control more then 50% of the civilized galaxy....
Minmatars account for like 2% rest are slaves.. even your own people are slave owners to your own people...
this isnt civil war.... just a little incident...

You Amarr are so predictable
Depicting this as an incident doesn't explain it yet - And as Jamyl Sarum's forces are apparently stirring in Amarr Prime, I it is a certainty, not a probability that there is going to be civil war.
Denial might lose you that 50%....
Any serious comments?

I would like to start by making it clear that this is in no way an official statement by PIE Inc. and as such, is in no way intended to represent the thoughts, opinions, or official stance of PIE Inc. or PIE Inc.'s associated members or Allies.
I believe the root of the question was "What makes the Amarr a superior race? And do the recent events surrounding the selection not show signs of weekness and imperfection?". To explain such a thing to a Minmatar and expect them to understand would be a waste of breath at best, however I will do my best to shed some light on things for you.
It stands without saying that the Amarrian way of life is hardline. Bound by tradition and beliefs. A society rooted in "belief" as opposed to "politics" is much more volatile and unexcepting of things which may fall out of line with tradition and the ways of the past. Many, should I say all TRUE Amarr, believe that the scriptures and way of life laid forth centuries ago by the Amarr are the foundation on which our empire has been built. However, how to maintain the Empire's greatness and improve upon it is a source of debate.
Some believe that to attempt to remove that foundation or alter it could bring down generations of work and spiritual growth. Effectively bringing the Empire to it's knee's. While others believe that in order to grow we must be willing to change our ways. To accept that though we are great, we are not perfect and some changes may be necessary to further our growth and enlightenment.
It is natural, due to the nature of our beliefs and society, for such opinions to create rifts within our culture. For we all hold our belief and faith in God above all else. Though how we each may feel is the best way of carrying out that faith may cause unrest with the opinions of others. Possibly resulting in hostile actions such as the ones mentioned in the news as of late. However, our beliefs are what bind us and make us strong. They give us common ground upon which we may all stand. Though you may see us as pompus and arrogant, we are humble before ourselves and God. It is that humbleness and knowledge that we are not perfect that fuels our hunger to be great and more worthy in the eye's of God. Fighting between brothers and sisters is normal and does not overshadow the bond that lies beneath.
So see not a weekness in our internal issues but a strenth. A strength of belief and tradition unparalled in the universe. A bond that holds us together regardless of who's opinion may be right. We are a people of strength and voice and will not stand idly by as the minmatar do. Who's lack of will defines them and places them in the position of making such worthy slaves.
I have spoken enough for the time. Perhaps you may be able to derive from what I have attempted to explain, exactly what makes the Amarr superior to the likes of you. Though I doubt it. More the pity. Now get back to work.

The Amarr are superior for only one reason... the large size of their empire. Amarr Empire could take any other empire one on one and have a more than 60% chance of success as it stands right now with everyone except the Jovians. BUT if they do break down into a civil war, that would be the time that they would be most vulnerable.
Gallante is the most technologically advanced of the empires, they like all those strange new gadgets. Caldari are the most war-like, with emphasis on shields and range. Minmatar are a wild-card, they are willing to do anything and everything to win. _____________________________________________ EVE GUARDIAN Chief Editor EMAIL - [email protected] EVE-MAIL - Leo Graf

Through our superiority of course!

When can we expect your declaration of war, little minnie?
Or might it be that you, like most of your kin these days, vent your frustrations and steam through hollow threats and boasts on the forum boards?
I look forward to obliterating your pod and the war you bring to us.

More hollow jabbering. I feel lenient today, so I shall help you understand and even learn you a thing or two.
First off. Words are empty without action to prove them.
Secondly. I am your better, accept this and you will find your place in life.
Finally. Declare war on PIE, put your money where your -mouth- is. ----------------------------------------------

Edited by: Hardin on 30/11/2003 12:01:18 Gaius - much as I admire your adour please stop challenging us to wars every five mins
What with ongoing hostilities with Oracle and the pirates of Sarum Prime - both Biomass Cartel and People's Front Of Minmatar declaring within the last week - and a potential civil war I think we have enough on our plates at the moment.
We are obviously superior Amarr and have some great pilots but for a 40 member corp I think we have enough to deal with at the moment
It seems everyone wants a piece of PIE!

Just for that comment, SmallBanjo, I have killed them all, except for that Amarrian female first officer, who I will use for my sexual pleasure. She makes a fine addition to my growing Amarr harem. But it is true they smell very badly, so they are under strict orders to bathe five times a day......Still they smell like ****.

No no no, this is all wrong! What is EVE coming to? Let me try to explain (again)!
We are the slavers, who bind your people to our whims, and will not set them free. All in the good name of righteousness, of course. As the Chosen people of God, we can very much do whatever we feel like.
Not you.
You are the barbaric morons who think freedom, the life you lead today, is worth fighting for. Its not, so we have to destroy you over and over again.

Ok?
So lets say all of a sudden the Amarrian way of life becomes threatened and millions upon of millions of your people are enslaved and your freedom becoming threatened or even taken away.
Would you not fight for it? And after its regained would you not fight to free your people?
And just as you question my people's continous struggle for freedom. I question as to why your people need to still believe in god? A once retired pilot, now, once again helping those that fight the good fight. |

Now, I myself, fly in Blacksheep Squadron which is just made up of good pilots, minors, & traders. We have Caldari, a Gallente, and I myself am the first Amarr member. I fly as Lead Scout. We have proved that though different races, we can work well together as a team of good pilots. Many of my Amarr brothers fly in service of the Emporer. I hail him, this is just how I choose to make my living. To the one who ask's why we still believe in God, it is because he's Real and he rules the universe forever throughout eternity!!Amen
