So I can fly a Myrmidon and have decent drone skills so I have a question. I see that a lot of people use the same type of drone, as in 5 Ogre's or 5 Hammerheads. To rephrase, people don't mix the damage types for the drones. Why not have like 2 therm, 2 kin, and 1 exp instead of 5 therm? I can see the point of this for NPC but I mean for PVP. Why not increase the changes of damage by attempting to attack with something a person is not tanked against? Or if they use an active tank, making them turn on all of their hardeners and thus hurting their cap situation.

Drones do different damage and have different top speed. Things you have to consider when chosing. Thermals do the most dmg btw and Explosives are the fastest...

I would probably say, most people use Hammerheads or Ogres because they are gallente type drones. Which do thermal, which do the most dmg.

Sorry for the newb question but I never really payed that much attention when using drones, Amarr pilot and all, but not all med drones have the same damage modifier then? I guess I could look it up but if you're reading you can save me the trouble.

No, they don't have same dmg mod. As I said thermal do mosy dmg etc.... Other stats also differ. Read them.... In general thermals and explosives are the best to use all around.
