However most definitely not opposed to making it easier somehow for newer players in terms of skills required to probe at a slightly better rate or through helpful ingame tutorials etc... Something to reduce another boundary into w-space for new peops. I have always thought that like most things in eve, scanning and scouting should be a skill set developed through practice. The better you are, the higher chance of finding what your looking for; pvp or pve. Sort of wish we could go back to the more "wild west" days of wormhole space Kids these days with their scanning modules, auto sig spawn, mapping tools etc... We have a new player in our corp and he got scanning like the rest of us in a week(barrings char-skills). The only thing he still struggles with is the way we name the systems . Also making scanning to easy takes away the mystery of wh-space. Aren't you all saying that there is no more mystery left in wh-space? Making it easier to scan will destroy a lot of mystery in w-space. Does scanning need to be more fun? Maybe that is the question we should ask ourselfs, not making it easier but more fun, more stuff to find, scanning minigame(never mind that last sounds terrible), ... . Because of the ore site being put into anomalies and the lack of difference between data/relic, there are only 3 things to scan for, wormholes, gas, data/relic . Maybe we need more things to find? No local in null sec would fix everything!

It took me about 12 minutes to do 21 sigs, and I was watching a video with my kid, so go figure. if you know what you're doing it's easy to do it quickly. You can go even faster if you aren't 100%-ing everything. But scanning with imps and the right equipment is definitely the way to do it if you're scanning a lot.
