I'm speaking on behalf of a mining / industry alliance that is looking for access to regions populated with rare ores. We are willing to pay monthly fees for access to these systems and stations inside of them. Other terms are negotiable. Evemail Korsakoff in-game or leave a response here.
Thanks!

Depends what you're looking for.
If you've got the guts and you find a good location, you can go without paying anyone. If you insist on using "safe" alliance space, there aren't that many alliances that offer "renting" agreements. I know Band of Brothers does--from what I've heard for a small corp they charge something on the order of magnitude of 300 million a week, so an alliance would likely be more.
Not sure if there are any other major alliances that sell renting agreements. I know CVA has an open space policy, as does ISS, but not sure if there are any good NPCing/mining systems near there.

Fountain is the richest land in EVE.. we will give u access to the areas around fountain core which have many low sec systems with great ore and NPCs.. this area has NPC stations.
we will also assist you if u wish to put up pos structures in the -1.0 systems.
the charge for this?, nothing, isk isnt important.

We can pretty much guarentee your safety in Fountain until the BloB shows up and as darth says it won't cost you anything.
As with all 0.0 you move here at your own risk however.

Just a word of advice, before you get too enthused about, or pay too much for, the right to mine that arkonor, you might want to take a look at what has happened to the prices of high-end mins since kali. It's a pretty steep down trend right now, to say the least, most likely because of all that rogue drone alloy being melted down out there in the new regions.
If you want to get rich in high end mins, trade your mining barges for some ratting ravens and go stake a claim out there. Ratting just may become the new mining. If the trend continues like it is, you're lible to see hulk prices that don't give you a nosebleed real soon now (tm).

Agree with previuos poster. Why move in with an alliance when there are 5-6 of the 8 new regions where its emptier then my wallet? Heres my tip: look at map "ships in space last 30 minutes". Send a scout to a part of the new regions where there are no pilots for 10 jumps in all directions. Find a system with 30+ belts and set up a pos there with refinery. Get a carrier to jump yer stuff to empire. If an alliance or bigger/badder corp moves in close convo them and see about joining them or at least get blue standing.
Good luck

"Band of Brothers"? "Insurgency"? Why risk your corp in such a dangerous, conflict-ridden area, when you could visit us instead!
Come to the north, to D2 space where you have no fear of enemies, are protected by one of EVE's superpowers, and can feel safe in the middle of a massive NAP-gangbang that extends ten alliances in every direction. Drown yourself in a sea of blue and ore.
And where can you get from BoB space to the new regions? How can you come in from RAGOON space without being targeted by their legions of enemies? Come to the north, the place with the ONLY alliance in existence who's had the balls to claim some of the new space!
You know it makes sense. Visit our board for access :) -omg-

This thread is *****ing me up. I never thought I would see the day that all these larger groups would be fighting over the "possibility" of selling mining rights. After reading this I feel like I just came off a TV commercial break.
I can see the headlines now..."D2 awards "alliance x" new mining contract. BOB becomes angered that D2 outbid them so they declare war on D2 and the mining company." Whats next? Sending spies into potential mining corps to find out what the other guys is offering?

No offence dude but thats how the big alliances live. They have other corps and/or alliances that live in their outpostst for a fee+refining tax while they themself focus on pvp and to some extent ratting/plexes.

Edited by: Resipsa Loquitor on 22/12/2006 18:50:56 I approve of this thread because it discusses the entertaining topic of economic warfare.
Skills and money are required in this game. Both individually can be used to access or acquire what you need, but you really need both to begin to obtain power. Power is not only the ability to obtain and hold, but also to deny. Denying access to some and giving it to others in exchange for services (skills) or money is the root transaction here, where power is the catalyst for the transaction. Both parties benefit: the "landlord" so that resources are exploited (or exploited more efficiently) and converted into free-flowing material used for other investments and the "renter" for access to space and materials at a cheaper cost than the rent provided, and maybe access to areas that are relatively "safer" (I'd say 0 is safer than low sec still even with wtz for miners and such). And because both parties recognize that the relationship is best suited for the long-term due to the profits that both obtain and seeking efficiencies, both permit capital investments in the area and seek commmon goals: area defense, information disclosure, and unified logistical coordination. That extends the power of the landlord and, in a way, empowers the renter too - they have become "vested" in the area - a partner in business - and they seek to protect it as if it was "their own", because, in a way it is and it is the path for them to also eventually gain their own power.
I hope this thread continues - it is a fascinating subject both in Eve and real life.
