So
An interesting ickle story.
Last evening, I logged onto my beloved Eve account. And instead of being sat in my own HQ, in a bb, ready to go out and slap some SI about ;), i was sat in my clone home, in an Ibis.
Hmmm, i thought, so wtf has exactly happened here.
So i flew my ibis back over to my HQ, and checked my locker, expecting to find my bb missing (i thought maybe my flatmate, had used my account and lost my BB, hes the only person that knows my passy), to my absolute shock, my fully kitted Raven was missing.
So I checked my wallet, expecting to find the insurance, and prepared to go kick my flatmates ass for taken out my raven, and bloody losing it. My wallet was sat 90 million isk down on the previous day, with no sign of the Insurance money.
Curiouser and curiouser.
So chatted with my flatmate, who proffessed to know nothing about this.
My Journal said 90 million isk had been transferred to a player at 03.30 the previous night, at which time i was fast asleep, and that my ship had been destroyed at 04.30 same night.
So reported all this to the gms, and requested an investigation. Tbh i was absolutely shocked, and just couldnt believe anyone would ***** my password, and then empty my account into theirs, risking their account in the process of course!.
But, the stupidity of this idiot, knew no bounds, because upon investigation, and ip matching, the gms discovered that this was exactly what had transpired. This fool had actually logged on as me, nicked my money (put some stupid comment about "Repayment for Loan" in the comment for transfer box lol) and then taken my raven out of the hangar and self destructed in space.
So hes banned, I have my 90 mill back (he falied to notice the stupid amount of instantly sellable goods in the Corp hangar, and my rares sat in my items (although cant be sure he didnt fill my hold with meg and blow that up of course ;), he also it would seem didnt want the 70 mill insurance money, which he could of claimed by npcing my BS) I should have my raven back and any thing that he had put in the cargo hold, aswell as stocked exactly as I left it.
I would like to thank the GMS involved, for an amazingly swift response to a gutting situation, one which had not been resolved, would of seen me cancel my account and go play summin else tbh

And to removed - Orestes, if i find you, we will soon know how you got my account details you brainless idiot.
ps. I am behind a Hardware Firewall at home, my network is safe, and all pcs have Lockdown Millenium and Norton Util and Norton AV on them. I scanned last night, and nothing, no Trojans etc.

Actually people doing stuff like this should be made public.
There should be a "Hall of Shame" section in the Player Website where these bastards are listed.

Tbf this was a more interesting story with the offenders name and corp in.
Disagree with removing these details, as its every subscription payers right to nkow about these type of people.

This guy must be utterly stupid to think he could have got away with it.
I'm still confused how he got your account details. Any chance you could have signed up for a dodgy eve related web site with the same passy or anything like that?
I can't really blame polaris for editing the name of the offender out, as it's not really fair to bring an entire corp into disrepute because of this, but it would have made a more interesting story ;)
Good job to the GM's though, between the time you phoned me to say what had happened, and me getting home online, it was all sorted

Happy to see and hear that everything have sorted out well for you.:)
I also have to praise CCP Gm's here, cause i was in this story too.
KIAEddz got a clone activation message saying that i was the culprit for his Raven explosion.
The message said that i had downed Eddz at around 04:40 eve time (when i was well asleep...)
We had a private convo where we were both shocked... i will surely remember a Raven shot down the night before.
But GM Rendo explained to me that when a player issues a selfdestruction command, the clone activation message is the same of the last time you had been killed. In this case it was about me downing you, since that last fight we had two weeks ago i think, in Pure Blind.:)
I was afraid my account was hacked too, but GM Rendo explained all in the details, and he said that the only account used was yours.
Nonetheless i suddenly changed my pass, double checked my firewall settings and all.

Despite anything people have said about gm's in the past, they come through when it counts..
Some people take the game way too seriously and way too far... I'm glad ccp take a hard line on this sort of activity, and nice to see it was resolved quickly...

Good to know, and good to see it all sorted out.
I thought all the ships that i had lost that i didnt know about, were when i got back at 6am p i s s e d from the pub.............

Someone hacked into Sinister's server and totally deleted all of the forums and information we had for eve.
CA was sharing this forum to coordinate our alliance.
Someone purposely attacked and destoyed the server and forums just because they don't like CA in game.
Bravo. Good job. Really, your so very very cool. I doubt any Sinister peeps even posted about this, but seriously, some of these punks who play this game don't realize that it is ... a game. Go get a life.

So why don't Sinister work with the police and CCP and bring Removed - Orestes to justice?
