There is a disscussion going on over at mmorg.com and we are trying to settle this once and for all.
please go Here and add to the pole and also post the info.

I am the one who created the poll there. Basically because we can't do polls here (no functionality) and I refuse to surf through hundreds of replies to a post poll here and then have to weed out the double and tripple entries 4 pages along the way :)
Yes, MMORPG.COM requires registration but it costs nothing and has never generated junk mail in my inbox (unless you check the boxes asking them to send you junk mail) MMORPG.COM is really good about that.
Not asking anyone to fib. Be honest. Only vote once and only post REAL accounts (not trials) that you currently keep subscribed.
It's an honest poll just interested in finding out what our average number of subscriptions per user is. So as to debunk some wild speculation over there by the non-believers :)

5 Accounts, 12 Characters. All have just been cancelled, and my 3+ years of EVE end on January 3rd for 4 accounts, and in February for the main (this one).

i dont know what id use an alt for. i suppose I could setup another computer side to side and multitask do everything twice as fast

People use them for all sorts of things, but usually to make isk faster.

Yep :) I only have 1 account but I have to admit that from time to time I'm tempted to start another to play with another aspect of the game. Then I remember that I won't pay $30 a month to play an online game and come to my senses :)

yeah, thats true
I could run 3, each would make enough isk a month to buy GTCs
but then I wouldnt be able to post on forums and play eve at the same time

I run 8 at a time (4 per computer). 4 are presently maxed out miners (working up 2 others) and 7 of the 8 can use Itty 5's (admitedly overkill). I can comfortably run empire mining ops in down to .6 space with these and can even run for coffee provided the haulers are docked. I eventually will be running with 6 mining and 2 hauling.
As for 0.0 ops the most I have tried is 4, but 5 should be fine provided I have the tank alone on 1 computer.
PvP is still a 1 account gig for me. I suppose using one of my lower skilled pilots as a tackler and a higher skilled one to deliver damage might be beneficial, but I seem to fare better with just one.

Kate, depending on what you are doing you can easily play EVE in widows mode, great for mining, hauling and building and even running complexes. The only time it gets bad is when you are jumped by playerÆs one window and managed to agro every NPC in the area on the other.

3 here, 2 mains, one in the hock that doesn't burn on this computer or connection for obvious reason.
I don't think the poll will be very accurate though.
CCP's army of fanboys that have the majority of multiple accounts won't taint the massive userbase image that ccp like to promote.
Personaly, i know people with up to 20 accounts.

Yeah, though 2 computers would be easier to dual mission. Im not sure if Id have enough use for another account right now though.
