Some time ago (few weeks), I read a thread where a couple guys had performed detailed drone damage testing and proved (with a reasonable amount of test data) that the Ishtar was in fact only getting 5% drone damage per cruiser lvl.
I haven't seen any acknolwedgement of this from CCP and the recent few patch notes say nothing of it and there's nothing under known issues or in testing to verify that anything is actually happening on this front.
IMO one of four things should happen:
- CCP should acknowledge that it's broke and it'll be fixed at some point
- CCP should acknowledge that it's 5% but state this is now by design
- CCP should state that they have looked at it and it's not broken
- CCP should acknowledge that it'll be looked at
If one of the above has already been done, please accept my apologies and let me know what the answer was

With the myr having a 10% bonus, the Ishtar and it's 5% is all but useless.
CCP don't really have any excuse, balancing wise not to raise the Ishtar's bonus to 10% to match.

No, the fact that I'm asking the question suggests that I haven't flown my Ishtar in some time and would like the issue that existed before to be resolved - otherwise there's no point in ever flying the ship...

How about if everyone that just wrote /signed actually send a bug report for this?
I have sent two soo far but as long as other bugs get more reports this one will remain a low priority. The Curse got a 10% drone bonus as well so the Ishtar should definitely be at that level as well.

Don't know about anyone else, but my Ishtar is doing way more damage post Kali than it was before. I was under the impression the bug was fixed.

It's simple. CCP stealth nerfed Ishtar and hoping that no one would notice. They lied about the ship attribute. Then someone found out about their scheme, so they have to revert the bonus back to 10%.
If they dont stealthly nerf, people will flood the board.
If they admit that they stealthly nerf, people will flood the board.
If they say they fix this issue, people will flood the board with the question 'why wasnt it fixed long before' or 'since when was this issue happened'.
So dont expect CCP to mention anything about this issue.

I have a feeling the thread you are thinking of was necromanced (an old thread, that someone dug up and posted in to make it look new).
I think that before we type "/signed" and lambast CCP with bug reports we should test that it is 5% and not 10%. In fact, sending a bug report based on someone else word and not your own experience and tests seems quite a bad idea. (I apologise if people in thread have tested it post-kali. I didn't get that impression.)
I'm not going to test it because I don't care enough. But there are clearly people who do...

I tested it before and after patch, the hits are pretty much the same as my dominix now.

I say, cause we waited so long and our Ishtar's were pathetic in damage compared to a Dominix, it should get a 20% bonus to damage etc! Hopes too high? Optimistic eh? Damn...Well a guy can dream right?

Recent dps tests suggest strongly this is still broken. Ishtar DPS is down 25%, better to fly a Myrmidon at this point.

Can you post whatever test it is you conducted to show the Ishtar DPS is down 25%?
Even with what I considered to be a major bug with the Ishtar prior to Kali, there was still a whole different role for an Ishtar than what there is for a Myrm, so saying its time to swap one for the other is not realistic. Ishtars can solo level IV's, Myrms, because of their sig radius cannot not tank massive spawns as well as an Ishtar.
And honestly, everything I've seen so far since kali was released shows a major improvement on DPS for my Ishtar. Its actually very significant.

The tests i've done was on a 6 Large Shield extender Raven with no hardener, with both the Dominix and Ishtar using ogre II, I didn't record wreckings but the Excellent hits (which are highest next to wreckings) were similar, only 2-3 Damage difference between hits on both ships Tests.
So yea, Ishtar is 10% per level again.

given that the curse and pilgrim and arbitrator have a 10% drone bonus, seems silly that the ishtar would not.
prolly some pre drone change code snuck back in in the last build. Hopefully it is all straightened out.

i asked this question on irc to the guys on EVE TV when the alliance championship was on and they totaly screwed up the question and answer and jsut totaly ignored it they just dont seem to care anymore, ive been flying an ishtar pre and post kali and tbh i cant see a damn bit of difference. but since a mod or dev doesnt want to say anything who honestly cares now
