during a recent war, quite a few The Shadow Ascension alliance members logged to save pods and/or ships.
we probed EVERY single pod and promptly squished it as we spammed mail boxes with "logging is ghey" or similar smack

Jumped into one of our gatecamps in a Nighthawk last night. Once he realised he was going to die he logged off. We popped his ship, brought over a covert from a nearby system, probed his pod and squished him.

as long as tactics like logging off, are viable, they are used.
it is like complaining about warpcore stabs, anyway to log off is unfair. but whole eve is unfair.

What i dont understand is how can people not be dealt with when its so openly obvious what they do. When it comes to the person that i had mentioned, he logged in and out at LEAST 6-7 times trying to change his position so that he would not be on a gate. Its really stupid when somebody just disappears in front of your gunfire and then they can proceed to just rub it in your face. Luckily in my situation he decided to actually stay on a gate to attempt a gank. The only thing it gained him was the loss of his mega and a friends eagle. Joy for me but still the situation is stupid.

And yet they have joined one of the most obvious exploiters in the game. (Hope you enjoy the billions CCP let you keep btw, bugged complexes FTW) I haven't had much contact with Black Lance yet, but I would never expect a fair fight from anyone in AAA. Hopefully they don't have that bug where their whole fleet CTD's twice every time they hit a bubble, seems pretty common in that alliance.

Logged his hauler off on jumping in last night. Was not a CTD as he didn't come back.
This needs fixing by CCP, the solution is soooooooooooo simple. If a client loses connection while cloaked on jump in, they uncloak and begin a standard warp which can be disrupted / scrambled as usual. The same could happen if anyone logs anywhere in space.... STANDARD WARP
Yes, on occasion the odd person may CTD and get caught, but logging at gates will be a thing of the past. CTD incidents will not be petitionable so people won't cry for refunds when they get ganked.

If i jump into a gate camp why should i choose to commit suicide and waste my time and isk by uncloaking. I havent't engaged you or decided to make a run for it, at that point it's just as if i hadn't jumped in. Just because your camping the gate doesn't give you the automatic right to gank me.
How about we name and shame those pilots who havent got the balls to engage in a fair fight and have to gank pilots 10:1

Piracy is a business of isk, so shame all you want the bad bad ebil pirates for ganking your hauler. Heres what they think of that situation..
