sounds like you got a little overheating problem, check your grahpics card fan and the fan on your processor, in fact make sure all the fans you can find are running

Could be a memory problem. I had frequent random disconnects and reboots a couple of times per evening and it got worse and worse. Ran memtest but found nothing, then i tried lowering the latency and there you go...0 crashes, 0 disconnections. My mem supposed to run at 800mhz on 4-4-4 (as cpu-z says) but eve doesn't like it that fast, turning it to 5-5-5 solved everything (and you really hardly notice it).

Hi, I've had this problem too. Game runs fine until I engage in combat and then it shutsdown the PC. Was your game okay during your trial period?
I'll try the mem latency fix but I was wondering, does EVE have any issue with dual core processors?

yeh it was on the trial too. I switched off the "automatic restart" to see the if it comes up with an error and it did! when i engaged in combat, I got the blue screen of death BSOD saying "BAD_POOL_HEADER". Any ideas what this means?

Edited by: FinalFlash84 on 21/12/2006 12:26:55 If you have a Realtek Soundchip, this is your problem. Turn off your sound, and your Computer won't restart. You can also try to install a new driver from the Realtek hp. bye

I don't have a sound blaster but I have a wireless adapter for a laptop. I have on board sound which is ac'97 i think. in dxdiag is says C-Media Wave Device. Sorry i don't which one it is. I don't know if these are the same but i have Xear3D and it says my audio controller is SIS 7012 Series audio controller. I don't if this helps so sorry if it don't

cmedia is ok, should work
check if the wlan driver is up to date, be sure to actualyl install a driver, not using the "default windows driver" if you can, disable the card and test eve with a different connection method. just for testing. might help to pinpoint the problem ---

hmmm i havn't any problems after disabling the wlan. but everytime i get into combat it feels like the PC rele wants to restart but can't lol! ive also noticed that throughout the entire game it freezes quite often e.g aftr warping or getting in combat. im running on 4meg so i don't think thats the problem. oh well, it seems to be working ok though so il write back if i get anything new, cheers guys
