I am not sure if this has been talked about on here but I am sure someone will link me if it has
Firefly as an MMO article is Here. Oh man I will just cry if this is screwed up. Please please please make it good.

It has been.
They'll screw it up. It's being licensed by Fox, who are responsible for killing the series in the first place. It's likely Joss hadn't heard about it before the official announcement was made.
Plus, Firefly is rather uninteresting without focusing on the characters.

this is all true, the characters made the show without sounding like a moron but otherwise its just another space show.

it's being developed on the Multiverse engine, which looks to be absolute crap by the screens and video I have seen on their site.
Granted, it might be totally different if a professional production company gets their hands on it.

Actually, Joss had said months, maybe years (can't remember), back that if there was ever a chance to continue the Firefly production in any form, he would take it. Firefly is like his puppy that he just can't send to the SPCA.
I have hopes that Fox doesn't underbudget the game like it did the advertising for Firefly the TV Series. No commercials at all... I never heard about the show until it was already cancelled.

Firefly may make a good MMO, but I don;t think the series was on long enough to get good content.
I often think that Babylon 5 would be a good MMO, but then I realize the following:
Centauri have an Emperor, and enslaved the Narn, who fought for freedom.
Amaar have an Enperor, and enslaved the Minmitar, who fought for freedom.
Earth Alliance is run by corporations... so are the Caldari.
Minbari were diplomats and a "calm" people, as are the Gallente.
Earth-Minbari war, Gallente-Caldari war.
Each race has their own ship classes, with their own weapon systems and defensive technology.
There is a mysterious 5th race (Jove/Vorlons), everything is connected by jump gates, and all 4 races have come to an uneasy truce (in both B5 and EVE).
So I think Babylon 5 would make a great game... but I also think it would be too much like EVE!
I actually started my own thread, on the similarites between B5 and EVE...
