What does it really do? The description says you get a bonus to Shield, Armor and Structure. The Attributes state that they give a 20% bonus to hull. I put one on my carrier to try it out. I dont' see anything change in the drones description when I launch them. Can someone please explain what this rig actually does? Is there any way to see what effect it has?

like mentioned by the first replyer: drone descriptions are bogged up, so don't ever expect to get useful info from info.. (kinda thought a carrier pilot would know this..)
But as for the bonus, gotta love semantics:
shield = shield armor = armour structure = structure
hull can either be shield+armour+structure in this case (yeah i know, should be just armour and structure, but let's not complain too much ) or structure (the old 'real men tank hull' remark)
Hence 20% increase on hull is 20% increase on everything or just on structure.. i'm guessing drones have gotten enough stick to get a full bonus, but you can never realy tell: only way is to get on the test server and get one of those rigs typhoon (nice big drone bay, no bonusses, don't take a domi, makes calculation more difficult), give it 7 heavy drones and start logging smart bomb impacts if you have a friend handy, or missiles if solo; reverse from that the total hitpoints, take into account your skills etc and you will see if it's just structure or everything.
tbh just structure would make it a very silly rig (but you really never know with drones) so I'm guessing 20% overall increase ..
- All the stuff above does not necessarily reflect my corp, my alliance or even me - Pure drone user... give us a mini carrier and faction Typhoon and Dominix please |

No, unfitting it will kill it.
Plus there are NO rigs seeded on sisi you can't test it :(

What about fighters. Does this bonus apply to fighters. Whatever that bonus is?

Also if you decide you don't want the rig you need to repackage the ship, which of course will kill all the rigs on the ship.
