Edited by: Queen Hades on 21/12/2006 13:11:02 Edited by: Queen Hades on 21/12/2006 13:08:37 My girlfriend maybe wants to play Eve, but she is a student still (and has no credit card) and I thought I buy her an account, for a year in advance as a christmas gift.
Account will be registered to her name, but it will be my credit card which pays for it.
So, what does CCP say to this idea? Is this allowed or is it "we don't want your girlfriend because we have our EULA and your girlfriend is a worthless person"?
If it is NOT allowed, CCP, then give me info what we can do about it. And DO NOT (!) even consider telling me "GTC" because I have not the slightest idea about how to get them. And NO, paying in ISK is not an option.
So, what can we do?

providing you dont use the account, it should be fine. Should fall under the same rules as a parent buying a account for their kid, for example.

TBH as long as ONLY your better half is the one accessing the acct I cant see CCP having an issue with whom is paying for the acct.
Also many many people run multiple accts from the same CC so its pretty much the same idea.

Yup same deal as multiple accounts.. now all you need to worry about is.. 1.your gf better like it (as your paying for a year)
2. you better hope she doesnt become addicted so you can still see her!
My Comments in no way reflect my corp or alliance |

Edited by: Matalino on 21/12/2006 14:50:50 The only potential problem I see is that when I had cancelled my subscription then resumed it again, I did NOT need to re-enter my credit card details. So unless your credit card will expire within the year, or you don't mind her being able to charge next year to your card as well, I would recommend getting her 4 x 90 day GTC's. If you get the actual GTC card you can even gift wrap them.
Edit - Sorry missed your comment on not knowing where to get GTC's: have a look at this list.

This sounds reasonable. Thanks.

GTC's is a good idea, since if she DOESN'T like playing, you can always add the GTCs to your own account.
Of course, if she doesn't like EVE you have to ask....is she really The One for me?

Why do guys never buy ME a GTC? Yes, flowers are nice but what a girl really wants is EVE ________________________________

You prolly won't keep her a year, women are scandalous. I'd stick with the 30 day gamecard gift...
