Or so it seems to me, anyway.

Sometimes those are the big ones. I once stopped using caffeine for a few days. It was awful, but I did it. As an aside, no one noticed or cared.

I am actually doing that AT PRESENT!!
I wasnt getting sleep, and would wake up frequently, so I kicked the coffee / tea thing for a bit. Seems to have worked.
As an aside, I am glad the thread now has some meaningful purpose as a caffeine-addict support group.

Good luck staying off the 'devil C'! The headaches were wearing me out. I fell off the wagon hard with a 16oz red bull. Felt like Scarface from the scene where he introduced his little friend. |

I probably need to do it myself. I had managed to get my coffee intake down a few months ago, but with the new job it has increased dramatically and my sleep quality has dropped.

Back on topic, personally I can drop coffee at a moment's notice, I went to art collage (substantial substance abuse + the drunken persuit of women) so I have a family and a drinking problem, coffee withdrawal got nothing on dealing with kids and a hangover when you have to be creative.
One will quickly develop an appreciation for the hunting of man in those circumstances though.

The problem is not war. The problem is caffeine and how that drug ravages families and destroys lives both in and out of New Eden. Let's not make up phantom struggles when the true struggle is looking us in our bloodshot, caffeine deprived eyes.

Hear hear!
I once was feigning for the C so bad, I podded a bunch of noobs in a starter system, and then didn't feed my cats until I had brewed a fresh pot of coffee. Those poor animals waited, crying, for over 5 minutes!

Mine started in early childhood. Single mom, latch key kid who needed attention and was looking for an outlet. It was bound to happen. |

The best "Exciting" situations involve announcements at 3am like "Repel boarders, repel boarders starboard side." and you're all "What the ****? we're in Georgia." and then you spend the next several hours standing up holding a 25lb light machine gun in the rain for reasons that are even weirder than there actually being boarders.
Excitement is the worst. |

Yeah, true.
My most memorable week, ever, was in Manas AB, Kyrgyzstan, where some idiot farmer peppered the gate with a rocksalt blast because he was mad some other idiot got a HMMWV stuck in his corn field, and we spent the rest of the week in fckin DELTA. Plates, helmet, NVG's and a goddamn LAW rocket attached to my back (for the farmer's tanks, no doubt). And lets not forget the reflective belt to identify myself to any potential ACTUAL attackers. Great idea.
Although I do count myself fortunate that I dont have any REAL horror stories to tell, I did hit the caffeine hard that week.
