Damn those pirates!

Hardin	Posted - 2003.11.25 22:48:00 - [1] Edited by: Hardin on 25/11/2003 22:52:16 Well I have to say it finally happened. The pirates in Sarum Prime finally got me (and a few others too)! We had reports of a whole bunch of pirates at Sarum Prime JIP tonite including the Vatos Locos crew, Tank CEO and P-ussyCat of Space Invaders. Our intel told us it was 9/10 pirates in the system so we gathered a fleet of 11 ships. The pirates usually run when an equal or slightly larger force turns up so we were fairly confident... Once our fleet had gathered we jumped in... ...and this is when sods law took a hand... For some reason known only to God a chunk of our fleet jumped to a different place... This left about 5/6 of us facing around 10 highly experienced pirates in a prepared position with a fleet of Scorps, Ravens and Blackbirds. I didn't even get the chance to turn my guns on as was getting pounded from the moment my screen loaded (and no they didnt seem to be lagging the JIP deliberately)... Anyway to cut to the chase the pirates had a good battle and four outnumbered anti-pirate battleships died (including mine). The other heroes of Amarr were Geonosis and Agrus Ters of PIE and Rodj Blake of Seven Corp. Congrats to the pirates - you won a good victory - but it shall not always be the case! I used my insurance money to help fund the purchase of my first Apoc - I am sure you pirates will see it around

Hardin	Posted - 2003.11.26 10:52:00 - [16] To be honest losing Hardin Mark II was way easier to accept than losing Hardin Mark I. I had Mark I for such a long time and his Discoballs and prosthetic were legendary... so waking up in the clone bay without them was a bit of a shock. Hardin Mark II however I barely got to know having been with him only a month or so... But I have a good feeling about newly minted Mark III - I am sure I will get some good mileage out of this particularly body!
