Problem:
People can only drop jet cans every 3 minutes. Ore thieves take everything they can and pop the can. That's 3 minutes of a ship not mining because the hold is full and they can't drop a jet can.
Step 1:
Don't take all the damn ore out of the can. Leave some. Maybe even just one. That way you can keep taking as long as you like and as often.
Step 2: ????
Step 3: Profit!
This has been a public service announcement for noob thieves who can't take a hint unless you throw it in their face... and sometimes not even then.

^^ not news to me. Thats standard ore gankin' procedure right there. ~~~~~~~~~ Caldari. It's so easy a Minmatar could do it. |

Its funnier to drop your own can, move all their ore from their can to yours, then pop your can.
Not as profitable, but a great way to get laughs in a frig (Ice miners are the best). -----

What I don't get is when you're sitting there trying to tell the guy (by renaming the cans because he's blocking convos) that he can just camp and take as much as he wants (you aren't there for the ore), the moron goes and pops it anyway.
I guess I can understand if he was doing it to just **** people off, but come on. It's easier and more satisfying to gank something in lowsec than do a botch job thieving ore.
Maybe he just didn't believe I was giving him honest advice.

When hold is full, turn ship around and head for dock. Unload your ore in your hangar. Undock from the station and return to the belt you were mining in. Start mining again.
Repeat.

You win the thread for having obviously never mined a single thing.

Actually thats how I mine all day now. I decided not to be a target and I mine a hold at a time. In a covetor thats over 5k m3. I actually run two accounts at the same time, doing the same thing.
