Hello everyone.
As you know, Kali 1 brought us a few new BSs that can field 8 turret high slots. What does that mean? Well, more BSs that can mine of course! Before Kali, the Apoc was the most efficient mining BS, with the Domi coming in second. However, now we have ships like the Rohk and Hyperion which for all intensive purposes should be able to compete in this category as well.
Has anyone been able to test ship setups for either the Rohk or Hyperion? I donÆt know all the math mining calculations, but I would greatly appreciate if people could share their numbers and results. I most interested in the Hyperion because IÆm Gallente specÆd. IÆve read HaladaÆs minng guide and didnÆt see any of the new ships listed (at least when I read it a couple of weeks ago).
Thanks

Please read the last sentence of my first post
Yes, I know the Rohk is good, but I'm looking for the "numbers". Same with the Hyperion. I was hoping people had ship setups and have actually calculated the numbers. How do the new ships stack against the old? Does Rohk > Apocolypse > Hyperion > Domi? How close do they come to each other? None of this is covered in Halada's guide...unless I'm blind

I believe the number for a Rokh is 924m^3 per minute.
Quickfit will calculate the numbers and fitting for your particular skills. The Hyperion doesn't look like it really has the CPU to support as many upgrades - output will probably be similar to an apoc. You don't really lose much by giving up one upgrade though, so you can pretty much go with whatever floats your particular boat.

924m3/minute O_O Thats 2772/3 minutes... or... 1.5 times what my retriever currently does and darn close atleast to what cov will be doing I think. Umm... I think not MinerII's and mining laser upgrades and a rokh+basic skills to tank 0.0 spawn is even remotely close to the time needed to get into a covetor. Sure on the practical side... it wont be good but well... a couple o macro mining roks sure goes faster to train for then a couple o covs =)

For my PVP characters who don't want to spend a crapload of skills in mining.. the rokh and hyp are both great. The hyp is much better to tank bloods while mining.. and the rokh is good as a non-tanking uber mining BS

the best bs miner is a domi still and always, no other can kill rats and never stop mining so that gains more money from the rats it kills and could fend off a player(s) possibly. two less turrents but i forgot how much mining drones take for account comparted to t2 mining lasers.

I have alt that was initially trained for a hulk and a carrier. Using Battleship V, Interfacing V, And maxxed laser mining skills, the rokh pulled almost 1000m3 I think, possibly 950ish, using 3x mining upgrades and 8 Miner 2s. Also, it is able to tank and kill 0.0 rats using shield extenders and it's base 25% resist bonus, and t2 medium drones. This was tested against 0.0 guristas and rogue drones.

Never mined in a battleship myself, but whats the results like when one uses a deep core laser on the roids, T2 crystals? I would do the calculation myself if i could find my calculator. It should go (8(1.25^3)*120*1.75)/3 ore per min plus whatever you get from mining drones should you choose to use them.

What this guy said ^^
Domi still rules for solo mining, even more so with the right rig configurations. For gang mining, if you can't use a coveter, the rokh wins. It's a pain in the ass to empty the hold every 30 seconds though.
Wishing for better mining ships in a system near you. |
