Is it possible to transfer cash from another character to the players alt? And if I have a cloning thing (?) set to say, alpha, worth 900,000 clone points, when I die, will I have to replace those points by buying more, will I have to renew my cloning membership (I dunno what you call it), or will it stay the same? Thanks.

I think the new newbie clone is 900k. I.e. you don't pay anything for a clone that protects you if you have under 900k skill points. If you need a better clone and you buy one and you use it, you need to upgrade your new clone again (i.e. it's a one time use thing).
Anyway, if you're on a paid account, you can search for a character via the People and Places button, right-click them, and select the Give Money option.

I just read in the guide that you can update your clone with your skills? How do you do that?

Edited by: sugark on 23/12/2006 13:47:45 Alright, the deal is this: there are two kinds of clones. Jump clones and your medical clone. IŠll neglect jump clones here but instead talk about medical clones. You basically always have to keep an eye on your skillpoints and make sure that your medical clone has a bigger capacity than the skillpoints you have. Otherwise you will lose skillpoints in the event of getting pod-killed (podded). You do that in any medical facility in stations. Whenever you get podded you have to buy a new clone, since you are given only the standard 900k sp clone in that event.
edit: I would like to add that "a little" headroom is enough for your clone. No point getting the biggest one or so. You can always upgrade to the next level. ________________________________

That's "you SHOULD update your clone with your skills" in the sense that you should buy a better clone with enough capacity to save all the skillpoints you have now, so that when you die you don't lose any.
Your current points are listed in your character sheet. The capacities of clones are listed if you click the Medical button at a station with medical facilities.
When you die, you lose the clone you had but keep your points, and so you must re-buy whatever the clone level you had before you venture out of the station, so that there's no chance that you die again with only the basic clone and only 900k points being saved. If that happens, you lose something like 5% of the points in your biggest skill or something like that.

Ok. My skills points haven't surpassed the Alpha Clone yet. But I'll start looking at the options. Thanks.
