special ships etc have been handed out in RP events before, such as the opus, impoc etc...
so, in recognition of the quantity of veldspar that chribba has provided them with over the ages, [insertamarrcorpnamehere] has provided a free upgrade to his dread, gearing it entirely to ore removal.
so, we have:
massive cargo
extra highslots
gimped CPU and PG (ie, frigate lvl)
99.99% reduction to strip miners
500% bonus to mining veldspar xD

This is a great idea. As a newer player to EVE (5 months)
I have use outside sources that kept me playing due to
the steep learning curve. I doubt I would have stayed

You can't open a cyno field in high-sec, so you'd need to give him modified cyno field gens, too. It would all quickly turn into a cluster****.
But /signed to giving him a planet, a moon, some XL miners, and/or other shiny things.

While it would be nice, and I doubt chribba would object, doing this would cause a chain reaction of everyone running a well-known and widely used EVE site to come knocking on CCP's door for similar prizes.
Also, isn't this the game where people were up in arms and screaming bloody murder over things like buddy raffle prizes?
I've always seen Chribba being able to keep his dread in highsec to be a prize in itself, because one could make the case that it should be moved.
Should he get anything, I'd say do it in style. Put a reference to him in a veldspar description, or something along those lines.

Without pushing too much for myself  As some say, maybe it would be unfair if I was handed something that would benefit me as it would be unfair (not that I wouldn't accept it...) but tbh for example, I get a planet/moon named after me - that wouldn't give me any benefit in the game so imo such a recognition would be the most proper thing, if any.
But I'll take that capital mining ship or special mining beams without a blink
