It depends on which array it is.
Im using
Rapid Equipment Assembly 5x slots
Advanced medium ship assembly 1x slot
Component Assembly 10x slots
Drone Assembly 8x slots
Ammo Assembly 5x slots
Small Ship Assembly 10x slots

Can you build a BS and a cruiser in say a large assembly array and a mdium assembly array at the same time?

when you install an array it has multiple slots just like a station i think these figures are right please correct me if not:
large: 3
medium: 5
small: 10
drones: 8
rapid equipment: 8
ammo: 5
plus there 25% faster remember :)
also not the bpo doesn't need to be in the factory if you have the remote job skill just the mins need to be present and its all controlled though sci & ind button on left. Factories also appear under corporate/my installations not public installations.

The Advanced Assembly arrays have a material factor of 1.1 or higher. The Rapid Equipment Assembly array and Component assembly array have a material factor of 1.2 I think. The regular small, medium and large ship assembly arrays have material factors of 1.0. I believe the same holds true for the efficient equipment assembly array.

A related question to assembly array. The description of the large ship assembly array said it is for building battleship, but can u use it to build smaller ships like cruisers and frig? |

Read the other sized arrays and it should be obvious.
But no, only what it says on the box.
