I got an e-mail from someone about EVE-online tonight. I didnt open it as I dont know who sent it and Im sure its from CCP. As you might have guessed Im not a trusting person with all the hacking anf bugs out there, so I want to ask if anyone else got a mail asking about EVE from this person. (HarrisPoll@hpolsurvey...)

No. I use the mail-reader 'pine' in a server unix-shell to read mail mostly, so I'm not afraid of any infected ones but if you are unsure if a mail can be infected with something just delete it.

I dont know what email program you use, but if you are afraid to read mail, you need to get another one that protects you.

If people would actually read the Player news section of the character select screen, they would notice the news item that explains this exact mail.

Handing out a customer's contact information is Very Bad StyleÖ in the times of phishing, hacking and spamming.
ccp dropped the ball in an ugly and personal way here.
And the poll is really interesting for all dataminig ops. --*=*=*--
