Okay I have read how the jump clones work and maybe i am missing something so I am going to explain the current situation and maybe someone else can share their incite. A friend of mine reached a standing of 8 with the Corporation he was doing missions for and was able to get jump clones. He started a corporation to sell jump clones and his corps standing is a 10.0. I have never done any missions and have no standing in the corporation where he recieved his jump clones from. So I joined his corporation and when i tried to get jump clones it said the corporation does not like me...yada yada yada. so i look under the info of the Corporation we are trying to get jump clones thru and it says under likes it says the name of our corp and it shows 6.20. then under relationships it shows the name of our corp dash the name of the NPC Corporation we are trying to get jump clones thru and it shows 10.0. Now i have heard that it takes time for my standing to go up enough to reach 8.0 and able to get jump clones myself. is this true? Am i missing something? Any help would be appreciated.

It's the average of the corp for jump clones, so unless the average is above 8.0, you ain't getting no jumpclones.

I am sorry it is difficult to read english in proper form but as a published writer it is habit to write that way. However I believe the forum title is help with jump clones not the format of my post. Please help me with that only. If i need help with anything else I will create a post for it. Thanks.

I may not be able to read proper english (lived here all my life... must me my mistake) but the answer to your question is no... you dont have to get a personal standing to 8.0 assumig that you have NO standing with the corporation your trying to get clones for AND the corp has a standing of over 8.0 itself.
And it was friendly advice about your formatting...

Sounds to me like the corp has a standing of 6.2 to the NPC you're trying to get jump clones with, but has set that corp to +10 standings. Your corp -> NPC Corp standings are irrelevant to getting a jumpclone, what matters is how that corp sees you. Now I don't know if this jump clone corp's founder was being less than truthful in telling you that he had standings, or if he accepted someone else with standings to that corp and the average fell as a result. And it could be inadvertent; that standing ignores skills so he could be high enough for personal without being at true +8. But if the corp sees yours as 6.2, you will not be getting a clone from them.
