Hi
It woud be cool if we could unplug rigs just as we unplug implants, the rigs gets lost but we can atleast keep the other rigs without losing for example 3 rigs......
I haven't tried this yet, but I'm about to start using rigs, and it would suck if I later would want to change a rig on my ship and had to destroy all 3 previous in order to fit a new one.

Well, that's just it. Rigs ARE like implants... once they are installed, you dont exactly just unplug them. In the case of implants, this destroys them, as it does and should do to rigs.

You can't unhook a rig? I guess it could be justified as a hardware modification to the ship that can't just be "undone". Be more careful choosing your rigs, I guess. -------------- Civis Ascendant Sum |

They are not implants, you can't unplug them without destroying all others.
That just don't make sense... sure you can repackage ships, and thus removing rigs. But you should be able to remove them on free will tooo

To RedLion Learn to show some manners, please.
I never said they were implants. I said they were similar. And that particular method of repackaging the ship to get rigs back must be merely an oversight by ccp and should be corrected immediatly. Haven't tried this myself, but if that's the case, then it's simply broken.

I think what the OP is referring to is that you can unplug individual implants, and that one is lost. With rigs, I don't think you can remove an individual rig to free up a rig slot, like you can with implants. The only way to free a rig slot is to repackage the ship, which destroys all the installed rigs.
As far as I know, repackaging a ship with rigs doesn't give you the rigs back, it just destroys all of them.

i agree.. and the same with implants. this would get the price down to, becouse people would be reselling and unwilling to give as much for them

So you're actually telling me that when CCP said rigs would be "permanent modifications" they actually meant "PERMANENT"!?
Unthinkable...

but before people stop talking out their butt I rather not show them the respect they don't deserve. Take the time, show respect and you will get respect. Spam around talk ****, and people will think you are one.

I'm sorry... are you trying to lead by example here? Because If I read correctly, you flamed me and badmouthed without so much as thinking about it. Please grow up and stop using that ridiculous "l2p" elite gamer kiddie lingo. Perhaps then people will give you the respect you deserve... None apparantly
And to further continue my case... "like" implants means just that... "similar". I didn't say they were implants in their own right. So... suck a door knob :)

Heheh, door knob.
Rigs are fine. If you can't afford them, don't use them.

Thats the only thing that has caused me to be hesitant with buying rigs... Them things are expensive as hell to get and when you decide to remove them you cant remove them like an implant. We are forced to trash all of them thru the repackage option.... I dont have that kind of isk to be crappin to the solar wind like that. especially if I want to relocate to another system using my freighter. The rigs being simular to implants should be able to be individually removed just like the actual implants we have stuck in our heads... It would really suk if we had to remove all of our cyber implants just to be able to replace the one we want to replace.
