Hi all,
As I have already lost several salvage-fitted destroyers left in a safe spot (ejected from them and left them in space), I was wondering whether a covert ops frigate might be a better choice. What if I activate the cloaking device prior to ejecting from the ship? Would it still be invisible once ejected from? If so, it might not get destroyed by probing pirates. I use these 'stand-by' salvagers because in my 0.0 region there are no station nearby and I refuse to sacrifice slots to salvagers on my main ship. Anyone?
btw, I dont have the skills to use a covert ops frigate yet, otherwise I would have tried ejecting from it myself without having to bother the people on this forum...thx for any replies.

No, the cloak is an active module, when you eject from a ship all modules go inactive ofcourse.

When you eject are you just in your pod? And if so, can you still warp and use jump gates? I'd like to know because when I bought my Iteron I had to leave my Velator at the station and I would like to go back and get it and return it to my Home Base.

Yea you can warp and fly around in a pod. But you can't undock in a pod so leaving ejecting from your itty would leave it floating in space for anyone to steal.
Repackage your velator and stick it in the cargo hold of your itty - only 2500m3. -----

Edited by: Asestorian on 24/12/2006 16:17:05 I think you can undock in a pod now actually. Because you can eject from your ship in a station. They did this to stop the need for people to leave shuttles lying all over the place outside stations or something like that.

Actually you can undock in your pod.
CCP changed it after they fixed bug where you could eject during docking and your ship would dock but you'd remain outside the station in your pod.
