Im NOT talking about performance of the ship just way it looks here.
Ive always thought that the Merlin was a great looking ship, and flew one for two months back in the day. In fact, it looks much better than the Harpy, even though the Harpy has a cooler "base". Why is this? Because the turrets are placed in STUPID places on the Harpy.
The way the basic Merlin skin is NEEDS to have turrets at its wingtips and head and bottom, otherwise it just looks flat and weird. Yeah on the base is OK but it doesnt counterbalance the baldness. I mean LOOK AT THE PICTURE AT THE TOP OF THE SCREEN!! Whats next to the eye but between the metal? It doesnt look quite like a Merlin, like it has something sticking out its wing like the Harpy has, but it has the turrets on the head and on the wing. WHY CANT THE HARPY JUST LOOK LIKE THAT!
This is so bothersome because the fix would be SO EASY. Just take the current Harpy skin, take the turrets off the side of the head and one of the pair on the base and move them to the places the Merlin has them. There. Done. Finito, and the ship would look so much more badass when fitted. And maybe one more pair should be taken off and put onto of the wings like that one NPC has, the name of which is slipping my mind.
It seems like an easy fix and IMO should be implemented when CCP releases the new Minmatar skins. Anyone with me?

I say take one pair off the base and put them on the wingtips, thats would be fine. Oh and fix the damn harbinger turret, its annoying as hell on a symmetrical ship.

I don't like the turret placement on the Merlin at all, looks good for 2 turrets to have it in that symmetrical arangement, but once you have 4 turrets like the Harpy you need to put them some where else, trust me it looks awesome.

NO. I love the turrent placement on the Harpy; it looks wicked. If you dont like it fly something else :)

Meh. Just move the fourth turret to the wingtips and call it a day. It really does look out of place.
