hey,
I've been going from belt rat to belt rat type in over 8 regions and still haven't found one of those. Does anyone know which rat type drops these ????

I've been thinking of drones but they are only in the 0.0 regions and well they are mostly in hands of one or the other alliance.
Players ships will probably drop them but well I was thinking of more a carebear alternative.
otherwhise I'm still a bit clueless on who drops them, I found some in an archeology site to I think but that was in 0.0 space

they do drop from shadow serpentis wrecks, not seen any from normal though.

There is NO carebear alternative.

They definately come from exploration sites. Hauled a crapload of them yesterday from an Angel one. I'm pretty certain they may be in the new regions too.

The new 0.0 drones DO drop them for salvage. They aren't rare at all, it's just that the parts were divided into NPC types and this item got the bad end of the bargain by being stuck in 0.0
they also drop from exploration sites by the tons
Buy order them @ normal component price between 50k and 100k and someone will eventually fill the order
In the future the rogue drones in empire SHOULD drop them. I think it's a bug that you can't salvage all the other drone wrecks. I'd keep my eye on it, my guess is in a future patch when non-salvage NPCs are handled that those drones will drop these

what sec space and what empire did you find them in, and were they locked in cans that needed hacking or analyzing? what skills did you need? how many did you get?

I've salvaged them from a dead Domi and a dead Megathron. Maybe Serpentis battleships also drop them?

with NPCs my experience is that an NPC type no matter which level of wreck it is drops the same components as the rest of its type. small, medium, large wreck type determines the amount you get. I could be wrong but I think thats how it works

I got a 0.5 location where these drop a lot from NPCs, but I won't reveal it.. Willing to sell them though :)

Has anyone been attempting to compile a (public) list of salvage types vs. ship/NPC types?
