As I see more sovereignity disappearing, and some of the larger alliances leaving territory they claimed, is it reasonable to think that the amount of POS fuels is too high? When you reside in 0.0, it takes alot of work and effort to keep the sovereignity going. I don't mind the price of the towers themselves but the cost and amount of fuels seems rather steep. I can only figure this may also be a cause for T2 prices skyrocketting as the moon minerals and products become harder to come by.

The cost is not an issue IMO, especially considering the collapsed price of ice due to the ice macro miners.
The size of the fuel is a bigger issue, IMO.

The size is big enough to be a logistical task without being a logistical nightmare. I like it. As for the price being too much, does anyone remember the prices of POS fuel months ago? It used to cost roughly 70mil/week for fuel for a large tower, now it's more like 30. Definitely nothing to worry about. you'd have to try pretty hard not to make that much isk off the POS.

If price is really such an issue for you then just mine some urself? Helps keep the costs down even if its not the most enjoyable passtime. I like it though

Has more to do with saturation of the moon-goo and T2 component chain market, it's a PITA to maintain POS in 0.0, and those sovereignty claims aren't for show, outside of station systems they're for the fuel discount. If running POS isn't cost effective compared to the same time spent ratting or mining, people won't do it, especially as a POS chain has to be fed *every* week, regardless of RL issues, while the others can be scheduled at your convenience.
If the new BPO's and Invention cause a rebound in the revenue prospects for POS, you'll see more POS going up.

The logistics are pretty hellish. For me it is a combination. You have to do more trips with them gobbling up the amount of fuel that they do. I do have a hope that if they do something with planets, they can produce some of the trade goods that require POS fuels. Like oxygen or enriched uranium. The kinds of non-manufactured fuels required for a POS. That way you can carry that much more of the other fuels and keep them fueled much longer.

If you don't have enough intrest or desire to keep a Sov POS up and running should you really have Soverenity in the first place?
