This has probably been posted a few dozen times.
The discussion from past threads has generally made two decisions about it:
1. Its vaporware. Its not going to come out for a long while.
2. And if it does, it will suck.

looks pretty. rubbish name though. never heard of it...
I had always thought it'd be nice that when shots missed in eve they should actually miss graphically too.

i have heard this will be released at the end of 2007. but by then eve will have been pimped and will be far better!

Alpha might be released then.
Your not looking at a real release for this for a very very long time, which is still just a basic engine no real game at all apart from the combat,.

Doesn't even look that pretty to me... Some bump mapping on the roids is about it. The ships look like they came out anyone of your usual single player, space combat games. That's why I like EVE. It looks more grown up, as if real time and thought went into the design of every object.

I know that's just a prototype, but there are two complaints about it so far that I have. First, where is the*****pit view? It's supposed to be a reflex based real time game, and to me, that means I want my*****pit. Second, what is the point of being able to directly pilot the ship to weave in and out of combat if the turrets all auto target?
I can't say*****pit?!? OK, how about flight deck? It's sort of the same thing, only not really.
Oh, and if you are looking for a second space MMO, Allegiance is free now.
