Edited by: Spartan239 on 26/12/2006 16:59:41 Ok, so after trying to fix my rio, I've decided its time for a new mp3 player, I've heard lots of good and bad things about the creative zen (some people i know have had them break down after about 6 months of use), just dont like ipod's and dont need something with a ridiculous capacity. So any reccomendations

If you need the perfect sound get a net md... they last incredibly long (my old one 6 years) and battery holds 50 hours playtime. ---

Zen Vision M.
220 bucks or so IIRC, 30GB, and plays videos with both Xvid and Windows Media codecs.

Avoid sony full stop.
The software & design in the longterm is a joke,
Go for a zen proberly the best option available.

Adding in my vote for the Zen series, I mean seriously have Creative EVER made a bad product?!

I would have to nominate my MP3 player, the "Archos" which is the best one I have owned to date. (I have been through a fair amount of MP3 players, and this is the first to last nearly 2 years) I got my Archos Gminixs 202 for ś100 and it holds 20GB It doesnĘt need any software to run (although it does come provided with it), and you can plug straight in and start copying music files on directly (my preferred method) ItĘs easy to navigate and have never had a problem with it crashing or not working. The battery life is quiet high; I have had it last for over 8 hours and left it on by accident all day to find its still running at the end of the day, I havenĘt officially tested it but IĘm pretty sure it could hit up too 10-12 hours. Finally think you will find this is one of the cheapest for its size in GB's and in inches.
