OMG Double Tanking!!!
It's true that using a shield tank and an armor tank at the same time isn't as effective as doing a shield OR an armor tank.
Check the setups thread in the stickies above.

in fact it s not double tanking it s just to gain time as i m in gank mode, the thing is to pop the target the fastest as possible but i admit i m not satisfied by this fit unless againsts cruisers or frigs inty...

Hurricane is definitely an armor tanking ship due to the 6 lowslots, now on the other hand, i can't decide what to fit it with? artillery or autocannons? it isn't a speedy ship so i was thinking artillery, but what good does that do for the medium slots? i'll post up when i find a good setup for PvP.

Nice, and works well. Had to test it. Pretty fast to. I dropped 1 gyro II for a local nano and was happy w/ the results. Got a good bit quicker, but damn that third gyro is sexy to. I'll play around with this in some live combat.
Come to think of it, a snake set would quite possibly make this setup

SBII = Sensor Booster II
Locking speed is everything in pvp.
As for hurting cap, once you've locked down your target switch off.
The web i dont find overly useful as even with a SBII most inties can warp away if they feel under threat and you dont find many stupid inties in 0.0 willing to attack an a/c BC alone. With a Mwd any Cruiser size ships wont get clear of me and with the same mwd i can clear any targets bigger than me that i dont fancy getting ass kicked by.

I agree with that. I haven't actually put the Therm rig in the last slot yet, since I am toying with the idea of a scan resolution rig. I think one exists. In the meantime if I fit for smaller targets than BC, I use a sensor booster instead of the 2nd extender or the invuln field. I've pretty much decided that I like the invuln better than the 2nd extender anyway.

Vaga-cane:
[Highs] 6x 220mm II (loaded with barrage, emp and hail in cargo) 2x Best Medium Nos (I will use Med nos II or either Corpum A and B type medium nos)
[Meds] 2x LSE II 1x Warp Disruptor II 1x 10mn MWD II (or domination mwd)
[Lows] 2x Local hull nano (or domination nanos) 2x Local hull i-stab 2x Gyro II
[Rigs] 2x Projectile Ambit Extension (Tech 2 if you can find them) 1x Polycarbon engine housing (or 1x Propellant Injection Vent. It really is just preference; more maneuverability vs. more speed)
[Drones] 4x Hobgoblin II 1x Hammerhead II

With both NOS hitting the target and if you have good cap skills (energy management 4, energy op 4) then you can perma-run everything.

I rekon it's convinient but...when dealing with a MWD HAC hes gonna dip out. Some HAC pilots have actually come at me when I was in a cane, they did not fair well, but they were webbed and could not get away. So basically, if you cannot web it it's gonna still not kill you but your not gonna kill it either. Also, I reserve my sensor booster II's for snipe kits for lock range/speed and elite frigs for the quick tackle. I figure 1 sensor booster II will not decide weather or not you lock a frig on a BC anyway. My lock range is irrelevent becausee I'm using autocannons and have to be close. 1 sensor booster II MIGHT make the difference in scramming a cruiser trying to warp off, but again if he has a MWD he will be faster and fly out of range and warp.
Remeber this is regarding a full armor tanked hurricane I responded to that w/ a MWD is not THAT fast, which is very different than the speedy shield tanked cane that was posted. On the speedy cane I can see it's relevance becasue you have a good chance at being faster than the fleeing target hence not needing the web and a free slot to get another advantage.

the hurricane is a shield tanking beast. try it passive, and you will be amazed at what it can do. Better passive tanker than a drake or ferox. In fact, the only t1 that beats it is the myrm. Refer to passive tanking threads on how to do it. cuase im not going to repeat it here.

I'd keep the SB II running as long as you have cap to run it...Remote Sensor Damps hate them. _________________________ ~Thor Xian, Material Defender
