i guess ccp has moved all deadspace signatures to low sec and 0.0. i found a few small pockets 2 weeks ago in my local empire area, and since i have found nothing. everyday i go and scan multiple systems and find "nothing found" sitting watching my screen for hours and hours, scan after scan and find nothing,
when invention was first announced in a dev blog this past spring it said "every system in eve will have 10 deadspace signatures" for invention, exploration and stuff. when kali came the dev blog said some would have a few and others none.
i fly helios my skills,
covert ops lvl4
survey lvl5
astrometrics lvl5
astrometrics pinpointing lvl4
astrometrics triangalation lvl4
signal acquasition lvl4
have installed 2 grav rigs to reduce scan time
scan time is 175 sec.
so i don't think i'm finding nothing because i have low skills. the skills required to do this, i have and are almost as high as they can go.
so just where is the deadspace signatures.
are they only in 0.0. if so what a waist of my time and the bilions me and my corp has spent to get into this new content. and find " nothing found"
keep it up ccp, this server will die yet. come around mid to late january i see alot of players leaving.

When exactly did you stop finding signatures? I'm thinking this is related to the mission probing nerf?

i haven't found a deadspace sig, while scanning, in empire in 2 weeks, i even have scanned some low sec systems in my local area and found nothing.

Are you using a multispec probe first before moving on to quests etc.?

yes i have been using multispec probes,, thats all i have been using. i did say in first post that i found a few low end stuff, like a 2/10 and an omber ,kernite belt in 1 system. completed the 2/10 and mined the belt. nothing has been found in that system since. and nothing in any system around my local area

Haven't you realized yet that CCP is trying (yet again, with failure) to force the entire empire population to emigrate en masse to 0.0 so that their favorite gankalliances can reap the massive kills that would follow?
New content is not for empire players, they have made that plainly clear time and time again. Invention that takes components found only in the black ass end of nowhere 0.0, salvage comps that seem to only come from rats in those same areas, and new rare exploration sites and escalating paths that always lead... you guessed it... into the anal sphincter of NBSI space.

Weird. Well, I can confirm that I've found and located quite a few hidden locations in high-sec in the last few days, so they're definitely there.
Afaik they did reduce the number of locations per system from what was stated in that dev blog, but I'm still finding multiple signatures in the same system (max of 3 so far for me I think), and my skills are slightly lower than yours :S

well if you are finding sigs ,in safe space. i'll keep trying. i always keep hoping ccp will do something right. don't know why i keep the faith, cuz i have been in game since exodus, feb. 3, 2005, i'm coming up on 2 years here. and i have been saying to myself, just what am i doing here,
honestly, if ccp keeps changing and micro managing content,which they have been doing since cold war, july 2005. players are going to leave. its just a matter of time.
they can say all they want that this game is about pvp and 0.0. "it's not, never has been and never will be" this server is still here for one reason and one only, "money"
and the "money" is coming from "empire" players.
they're paying the bills and making proffit for ccp.

Sorry can't help you with your question but I was wondering are these found in any system or thoughs that are only in cosmos regions?
I havn't tried searching for any yet but will probably give it at try after I get board with the cosmos in Ani.

Where exactly did you see anyone say that there were going to be 10 exploration sites in *every* system. From what I read, they said that there would be about 250 total.

Im not sure about 10 in every system, they did say that the content would be spread about space regardless of security level. They also said the content would move based on a form of AI and what the "players" where doing at the time. They also said there would be 250 NEW Kinds of complex and missions related to exploration and esculating paths.

You are just unlucky. There's still signatures in high-sec. I am unlucky, too, though - I always find the same **** over and over again (in low-sec and 0.0) while others tell me they have earned billions already :P

I found some signatures yesterday and today. Heck, you should run into at least "Unknown" sigs often enough (Complexes I think, not exploration sites). I get those a lot.
Unfortunately the whole process is hugely time consuming and expensive and the rewards have nowhere near paid off so much as the probes I have used much less the time I spent. I have managed to get in to one exploration site so far. There was no progression...just one level. Found a handful of Invention stuff which is worth jack**** on the market cuz invention sucks so bad. The few other sites I had got in to had alreayd been cleaned out.
I do not mind sites being hard to find but this is crazy. IF you find a site after 15 tries and 3 hours searching (and a cool 2+ mil down the tubes) you drop more probes (usually another 750,000 gone) and they may or may not find the location. So sit another hour or so and keep scanning and hope. Maybe you luck out and find it. Pray someone else hasn't cleaned it out first. If you do get in hope again that there is a progression.
So far, after perhaps 32 hours of searching I have one site to show for it that I got loot in and it is literally worth nothing on market (well some buy orders for a few items were up which amounts to about 32k all told).

I found a sig in a 0.5 system in Heimetar while trying out exploration probes a few days ago. Turned out to be a rather nice Bloodraider complex that netted me a nice Nosferatu. I'm sure there's plenty of encounters to be had in empire, you just might have to look around for them a bit.

I`ve detected various things using multispectral probes, in systems up to 0.7, so don`t give up hope of ever finding stuff.
I haven`t done much scanning in higher sec systems, so no idea if anything there.
I`ve also detected the `Unknown` signatures, but since the multispectral has a sensor strength of 1,000,000 for each racial, how do you actually find it?

1, exploration sites are everywhere, hi, lo, 0.0
2, you have more people living in empire and lo-sec
3, more people means more people scanning for sites and finding them
4, means you have less chance to find a site then in 0.0
5, I find sites in 4 out of 5 systems I check in 0.0 as do most people looking in 0.0

You have to guess what type it is, unfortunately. Usually means using 4 times as many quest probes and taking 4 times as long as usual to find it.

I've also had very similar lack of results, I operate in Placid and I scan most low sec systems about 0.2 to 0.1 sec, and I have found nothing at all, I once spent hours scanning, 10mil in probes and avoiding pirates only to find nothing at all, not a peep  .
Thus it's turned me off scanning for exploration I mostly use scanning for finding ships now, and have moved onto salvaging that now looked fixed at least.

I've noticed this in the past week or so as well.
I was finding signatures left and right when it was first introduced. In the past week, not a single one. I think they changed *something*. So much so that I'm not doing it anymore. Waste of fricken time.

Yep I think they changed something with that last patch after the titan was killed.
Scanning has become a lot harder. Managed to scan down 1 deadspace after about 3 hours only because I got lucky and it was in the zone between 2 probes.
Tried for a lot of traces but only had the one success since that update.
One interesting thing was the deadspace wasnt in the plain of the system.

'Unknown' is scanable with _every_ type of explorations probe. I think 'unknown' means that there is equal amount of 'LADAR', 'RADAR', 'Gravimetric' and 'Magnetometric' interference so the Probe can not decide what's what. So, you can also SCAN for it with every type of probe you have (normally means that you'll find a deadspace complex)

so far since i've first posted here, yesterday i scanned 5 systems at 2 differant times.
"Nothing Found"
today scanned again

i'll bet odds ccp moved all to 0.0, i've seen other posts that there findings realy good stuff in 0.0 and frequantly enough, that i would be happy with.
this "Nothing Found" for 2 weeks now has me so dis "add what ever here". i am not playing much at all anymore. to log in and spend hours sitting in space watching the timer run down, has me so DIS "add what ever here". i don't care much at all about logging in and its getting to the point that i log in scan find "Nothing Found" and log off.
i have continued to play, everyday since i came to eve. FEB. 3, 2005. when cold war came i almost cancelled sub. i stayed. RMR came, almost cancelled sub. and everything since, but when ccp started talking about invention, and planetary interaction i decided to stay till kali came.
as you read in the sept blog there was to be 10 deadspace sigs in EVERY system in eve. so i spent the billions, prepaired corp to be a participant in what i percieved to be realy cool content. and to biuld for planetary interaction.
what i have done has been a total waist of time and alot of money.
i am realy fighting myself to stay in and continue, but i can't find any reason too.
why should i continue to play, i have no new content to use in game, if you call salvage, contracts, or any of that stuff new content, or ships, i don't.
NEW content is something you can participate in thats nver been in game before. like exploration, invention, planetary interaction. so far i see none of that, and the more ccp makes and changes and nerfs things to force players out of empire the more i don't want to go to 0.0.
ccp you best hope no other company comes out with a space rts multi play game. and yea, you know there is nothing coming ,you find this out in the conventions.
however if it ever does come, you'll be loosing alot of paying customers..

Well, he said 'we will be able to see more than 10 sigs per system' not 'there will be more than 10 sigs per system'. Technically it is probably possible, in reality most systems have 0 or 1, some have 2 and a rare few have more.
Do not despair - I have found 1 unknown in 10 low-sec and 0.0 systems I scanned today :P

my_local_0.0_contallation_2-3_times
every_day_for_a_week_now.
The_first_day_i_found_exploration
sites_in_all_but_one_of_the_systems.
After_taking_those_out...nothing/nada.
Nothing_has_respawned_(that_i'm_aware_of),
so_NO_exploration_sites_(except_a_bugged
drone_thingy_that_wont_despawn),_in_that
whole_contalation.
