Evemail is a tremendous tool in the world of eve but I can't help but think its not being used to its full potential. Having played several massive online games myself theres certain aspects of other games which would work well in the world of eve.... here goes.....
Eve Market Mails
For every sale you make on your character, you receive an email in a certain format that you can then click 'export all' which you can then play about with outside of eve to work out sales levels, stock levels etc.
Argh I hear many of you cry "I don't want spam sales mails in my inbox" - well we have 'mailing lists' why not have the optional mailing list being <yourcharname>.Sales that only your char can access (with the ability to add others to view if its corp related sales etc) and have the sales mails appear there (deleted when they are > 14 days old automatically as to not take up too much server space).
POS DED Mails
POS's are the bane of many alliances lives in terms of their upkeep - for many it can be even called a full time job. There is no current system in eve that allows you to see what fuel, material stock etc are in any given pos without visiting them. One simple idea would be the ability to export the DED mails to your hdd - thats a little 'reactive' tho as you only get those mails when the towers are screaming for fuel.
Another idea is to beef up the pos management system and have a screen (accessible via the corp management menu) for those that have the starbase configuration role. This will list whats in each pos and time left on fuel etc - an export funtion on this data would also prove extremley useful. Can't be that hard to do can it?
Killmails
Yes everyone likes to receive these (even if they have been shot). Lets increase the character limit on these mails so people dont get missed and allow them to be exported.
I'm sure there are much more ideas to enhance the functionality of evemails so please post them here!

Well, a little improvement like searching in evemails and maybe a daily overview over onlined POS's would be nice... But the market - it's good enough, mails are absolutely unnecessary here - ever tried a look into your wallet? Only the Corp wallet needs to be improved so that it says "player xx bought xy units of xz from player xyz" instead of "someone bought some stuff from one of your players"...

A short "sent mail" history, eg a few days, would be nice maybe, but this pales into the frustration caused by the nerf to evemail length introduced with revelations.
I'm sure this has been moaned at elsewhere, so won't beat it to death too much, but suffice is to say I regularly cannot write what I want within the character limit, even for a new mail with no history attached.

Agreed - make an export transaction history button for the wallets then :)
