WhatÆs the best mission ship along these?
Dominix
Ishtar
Astarte
Eos
My character has great drone skills and T2 medium rails with so-so gun skills.
IÆve been told an L4 mission is about as hard as doing an 8/10. IÆve done 8/10Æs solo with an Ishtar. I think the damage was lacking inspite of the drone skills, plus the drones got owned a lot.
IÆd prefer to start with a setup more geared to survivability than wtf pwn them quickly. I can work on that part later. IÆd prefer not to drop more than 500mil on a setup to start. IÆm thinking EOS or Astarte but IÆd love to get some feedback on this.

I'm not flying same boat as you and never have and also have just started doing L4's. I just wanted to make a comment from my own observations. I used to sleep through L3's. Only the "new" blockade L3 is semi hard. L4's were a major step up in difficulty and time to complete. (Or maybe I've just had hard one after hard one)
Basically be cautious at first .. I had some close calls.

Try it with an Tech II BC. It's a little bit tricky using drones in those missions,
but until today i never met a mission i couldn't handle with my Eos. Most of the time
i'm also much faster with them than doing it with a BS.

I'd go with a Dom - keep the fit simple then tweak it around for specifc missions.
Generic fit I use
Highs - Medium Tech II rails
Medium - Cap Recharger IIs
Low - LARII x 2 and the rest Amour Hardners II
Most of the take down strength of a dom is in the drones so once you have 5-6m skill points in drones coupled with BS V you can take the rats with drones alone but you have the highs so why not use them for rails - if you need to run a long tank then I tend to swap out some rails for nost
