My wife and I are looking to join a corp. The problem is that we just don't know what we'd like to do yet in Eve. It has quite a high learning curve, but we're ready to tackle it (we've only been here a week). We've done the whole mining/farming scene in other games and want to avoid that if at all possible. We've been running missions and they're not bad. We're hoping that there is more out there and thought joining a corp would make it more enjoyable and give us the ability to see more content and action sooner. I'm wanting to do more of a focus in Electronic Warfare and my wife is not sure, so we're still working on the best duo for a corp to have.
So, in short.. What kind of corp or corp niche should we be looking to belong to? What do corps need in a couple team like ourselves (other than mining/manufacturing)?

The X.I. Corporation is a going on 8 year organization that originated in the game Starcraft and Diablo II. Over the 8 years of it's operation the X.I. Corporation has had more than 2,000 Members come and go over the years. Currently the EVE (Naval Fleet) Corporation is commanded by Commander Scott "Daedaelus". All Corporate Operations of X.I. are overseen by Admiral Kris "hungup76". Our entire corporation is based around protecting and serving the people of the nations or places we reside in. All members help each other and all of our officers are highly qualified and trained to assist people. Bridgeburners 9th Squad are currently recruiting to fill positions. We're a small corporation, based in Empire space at the moment, but looking towards making a home where the action is in less secure space soon.

Our corporation is primarily a production corporation but we have begun expandning our interestes a lot. We have a very mature player base and as I said one couple already in the corporation.

There are so many corps just waiting to nab you up! lol I have been trying to get my wife to play these games with me for years.. but shes not having it.
Based on your post there, I would definately say you want a corp that either is or is going to be pvp based. Dont settle for an industrial type corp since it sounds like you may not be happy with that. I have done it myself a few times and ended up moving on for the lack of pvp. Im not sure how much you want to have to work towards your goals, but if your looking for a pvp corp with a possible splash of the industry side(probably a bit later) then check us out. www.kapital-punishment.com or www.kapital-punishment.com/forum if you want to skip the flash stuff. Brand new and just getting the ball rolling, so if you want to get in at the foundation nows the time.

To be honest, Dusius, a duo such as yourselves has the pontential to excell at nearly anything in this game. Though from our corporation's stand-point, you could be a leathal addition to a PvP corp once you get trained up a little. That being said, I would like to invite you to considder Legio Immortalis. We are a small, close-knit PvP corp based in the Metropolis region. We are a new player friendly corporation, willing to offer advise, guidance and financial assistance to new players. And while we do have a strong PvP emphasis, we do realize that there are other aspects to this game. Please take a look at our website where you can find a wealth of information about our Corporation and the Alliance that we are a part of. Ascent of Ages operates out of 0.0 space in the Outer Ring & The Syndicate regions. We have spots for both new and old players, and our older more experienced members are extremely supportive of those who are less experienced in 0.0 space which is something we basically expect of our more experienced members. We are a PvP orientated corporation, but this is not our sole purpose, but our members are required to head the call when our assets are attacked, as we must fight for what we own if we wish to keep it.
There are always PvP operations to join be it with our alliance (R I S E) or our corporation. We generally have 15-20 members online during peak US playtimes, and a little less during European hours. We are looking to expand our ranks with new and old players who wish to PvP, are quite active in Eve Online, and wish to experience 0.0 space. There are plenty of agents to run missions for, we have many high quality asteroid belts to mine a wealth of ISK from, PvP is always around the corner out in 0.0. If you chose to spend sometime in Empire space you can do so without any increased risk as we have no formal war declarations against us.
You would have to get Teamspeak and a microphone to participate in alliance run operations, and really, you are worthless without at least being able to listen to teamspeak commands, but it is only required for PvP operations.
