Ok first of all IÆm from Australia and I donÆt have a great Internet connection in-fact its pretty poor, (not dial up) but anyway I just continuously see on these forums whine whine whine about lag. What lag? Seriously what lag? Yeh I get lag when IÆm in big battles, yeh the node crashes from time to time (personally havenÆt seen it after the bm nerf). So to the guys that are whining about lag, is your sound on? Are you downloading? Do you have someone continuously speaking on Teamspeak? Do you have your effects on? Are you over your download limit? Has your computer had it? And what other games that can hold a large amount of players does not have any lag?
Yeh sure the game would be so much better if it was lag free heck any game would be better if it was lag free but guess what ladies n gentlemen, this is reality, as long as our computers are not connected in the same room we are going to get some type of lag. Well at least for the next few decades.
Less whining and more playing.
PS I know someone that plays this game that had huge lag problems, he knew it was not his connection, found out that the problem was his out-dated computer but he couldnÆt pin point the problem. Anyway he has a new computer now and the game runs beautiful.

Well, I'm in the same boat as you, don't get much in the way of unexplainable lag, did notice a traffic adviceroy in a system near my home recently when we don't normally get that sort of thing. But that's it really.
But still doesn't mean others don't have problems, but if your point is that people should look at their own hardware/software/connection more, I completely agree with you.

You're in Australia.
Therefore, you don't play EVE at peak times, because you're asleep.
Therefore, you don't encounter lag.
Lag is not a one-second delay. Its taking FIVE MINUTES for EVERYONE IN A SYSTEM to activate modules.

If lag was due to someones "outdated machine" would it not be a constant problem? I had horrific lag yesterday, to the point that I stopped playing. There is no way on earth you could call my machine outdated.
Today, everything is running great.

I play at peak times I live in the U.K. I have 1 mb cable 4 year old comp(lol).
I get lag rarley, I do get some in Jita but not anything like that described on the forums.( yea mass battles for sure I get lag but ya have to be realistic)
I really dnt see why people getting all this lag. IMO some people probably got some sort of virus on there comp or something. Make sure your PC is not a 'zombie', Norton's and other popular programs dont detect alot of the virus' on the net tbh and people think they are invunerable because they got a popular(named  ) piece of software.
Sure this wont be true for everyone but I bet more than a few people are infected and don't know about it.

Obviously you haven't been there recently because they removed the queues over a week ago.
Have you really been there at peak hours with 680 people in system? It can take three minutes to activate an afterburner.

/me books flight to Australia where there is no lag at all. Must be due to lack of immigrants and the vast empty space that's available over there 
Seriously, pre-Revelations I only suffered from lag in very busy systems. Post-revelations lag is more profound, even in empty systems. It is sporadic and there doesn't seem to be any obvious pattern as to when/where it hits....but when it does it makes the game unplayable.

Kinda reminds me of people that move to LA or NY then ***** about trafic.
Lets crowd 50 people into a broom closet then ***** that someones touching me. When theirs an open auditorum in the next room with 2 people.
The whole jita *****ing thing gets a bit old.
If your *****ing about lag in a fleet battle then I guess you got a valid ***** as it's simply the biggest fleet that wins but jita? give me a break.

So pretty much all the replies is about Jita, heres a tip. Leave jita.
theres 5,000 plus system in eve.
I will be honest, i have never been to Jita. Never had a reason to.

During holidays a lot of logging is disabled, thus the lag building up doesn't work as fast as usual.
Wait for the days when the devs are back in office.

There was a lot of lag in the north east yesterday - pretty bad (30 second module activiations etc.). Nothing to do with Jita, NOTHING. Laggy in one system, two jumps away sweet as a whistle (0.0 system, nothing but me in it).
If you think Jita is the only laggy system in Eve, then thats because you haven't been anywhere else, n00bs.
