I was thinking that CCP should create about 50 unique ships.
Each ship has a unique name that can't be changed, as well as a detailed history of where it came from, who built it first.
And each ships is special in some way. A Shield tanking domi, A armor tanking raven. A Freighter with a jump drive, a Freighter with 5m cargo hold. A BC with frigate like speed. A dread with a anti ship siege mode instead of a anti pos siege mode..
Each ship has 1, count them 1 BPC hidden in the universe. These are in location not normally considered for finding things. Salvage a Destroyed bill board, Analyse a strange rock, hack a chunk of a derlic ship. The point is these 50 BPC are hidden all over the universe. from 0.0 to 1.0 system.
The requirements to pilot / build these ships should be 2 - 5 times the normal counterpart.
Whenever one of these ships is destroyed, the BPC is re seeded into the universe.
thoughts, comments.

nothing, they are a status symbol. maybe add a condition that if there account gets closed it recycles automatically.
but basically nothing prevents them from sitting in a station, the only thing i guess is to make them so useful people will want to use them.

The real problem is that sooner or later they would fall into the hands of someone who puts them in a hangar and leaves them there...

So make them un-dockable and indestructible. When the hull runs out it turns into an indestructible derelict, which can't be piloted, but can be repaired with a salvage module very, very slowly. When it's back up to 50% hull it can be boarded and flown normally. When you try to dock, you get a message that the station lacks the necessary facilities to interface with the vessel. Same thing for ship maintenance arrays.
But generally, I don't like the idea. -------------- Civis Ascendant Sum |

Nice but stupid idea. Once seeded they would never be seen again except for long term uber sp*nk B*bbles spanking them around
