Hello fellow readers of C&P. Today, I, Sadao, have a story to tell. Not a long one, just a short story about a fight we had with Knights of the Southern Cross.
So there we were, sitting in Oursulaert and Renyn, Perfect Unit in Renyn, on Oursulaert gate, I'm at Renyn gate in Oursulaert.
We had killed a Vexor just a while earlier in the previous system and we decided it's time to leave for tonight but we decided to sit here for a short while.
Suddenly, I notice PU saying that there is hostile Pilgrim in system. I ask him whetever it's at the gate or somewhere, he says he saw it with his alt when it came to system, so I prepare my scrambler to catch him if he happens to jump my way.
We wait a while, few more hostiles show up in local.
All of sudden, PU types "jump" in gang chat, so I jump, wait the small lag that there is always while jumping. There I see, 4 guys engaging him, I quickly look at the icons, 3 cruiser sized and one battleship. I checked the ships fast. It was Pilgrim, 2 Vexors and a Dominix.
At this point, I almost gave up on it, but then I saw PU started scrambling them, so I decided not to leave him alone.
"Primary: Pilgrim" in gang chat.
I lock them up, fire my MWD and head for the Pilgrim. It goes down fast, those things are not made to tank much damage. Then I remember the Cov Ops Cloak II. I rush to the wreck of the Pilgrim, there it was, unscratched, I quickly drop some Cap Boosters and take the cloak with me and move on to secondary target.
It's Vexor. Before I even get to open up on it, PU has popped it (<sad face>).
I have locked the other Vexor and Dominix in the meanwhile so we kill the other Vexor too.
Then on the Dominix, this guy, I was totally afraid of. I know what Dominix's are capable off and I dont fancy fighting one. But oh well, PU was on it already, lets do it.
We open up on the Dominix, it's shields go down very quick, but that doesn't matter, it has a full T2 Armor Tank. We get on his armor, PU is holding up with only one Large Armor Repairer II. Then the Dominix decides to do something unexpected.
He puts all his nos and drones on me.
Cap being raped by MWD and 3 (maybe 4) heavy nos, it goes down fairly fast. I fire up my Medium Capacitor Booster to feed up enough cap to my MWD. Dominix has drones on me but they cannot keep up with me.
Due to heavy nos on me, I have to start cycling my MWD, the drones catch me every time I have to turn my MWD off.
This goes on for several minutes until the Dominix starts taking more armor damage. I stand at 10% shield at this point (My tank was one Large Shield Extender II). Dominix is starting to enter structure, I set up for ramming speed and head for final bump on the Dominix, I miss it. Just a few seconds after, the Dominix blows up.
I'm at 90% armor in the end, Perfect Unit is standing at full armor.
My blood was boiling, this was the best fight I had had in long time. We, Perfect Unit and Sadao, show our respect to KOS and thank you from our hearts for this awesome fight you provided us.
We were in Armageddon and "Vagacane" (Nano fitted Hurricane)
