What do you mean you reserve the right not to sell to the highest bidder? Is this that you have a hidden reserve not revealed or that by some farce you can decide you prefer the guy who came in second place and award it to him?

Simple
1) About "end time" read the rules above
2) There is no buyout price.The price that higher bidder bids, may not honour the price that this rare bpo demands.Such a price cannot be calculated from the trade community at present time, due to the "freshness" of the bpo and the relevant lack of market data.
You should know this.
As u can easily figure out, the owner of this bpo has a lot of options opened before him. One of these is "Auction".

1.) He meant at which hour. "January 6" can mean 0.00 or 24.00, for example. It can also mean something inbetween if you refer to jan 6 in your timezone.
2.) That wasn't his question. To quote him, Is this that you have a hidden reserve (which is what you described) or that you can decide you prefer the guy who came in second place and award it to him?
He wasn't asking why not to sell, but what you exactly meant with the phrase.

Clarifications
1) Action ends at 6 of January 17:00 Eve time
This was not so clear in the announcement, therefore i apologize.
2) "Seller reserves the right NOT to sell" , means that if the price of the HIGHER bidder is not acceptable by the seller, then the item will NOT be given at all.
Of course it doesnt make any sense for any seller to sell to anyone except to the highest bidder.
But some bidders may wish to remain anonymous to the public,and their demand must be respected by the seller.

Well, it would be better if the owner could honor the request

Manufacturing time
50 Minutes
Research material time
3 Hours, 20 Minutes
Research copy time
6 Days, 22 Hours, 40 Minutes
Research productivity time
5 Hours
This is generic info for the BPO.
From there on, times are reduced according to skills
For example
Research copy time (you per single copy)
1 Hour, 15 Minutes

Though its not a honest policy, to change the rules of an auction, but, due to the high demand of a "sniper rule" from the bidding community, expressed not only here but also expressed through a lot of in-game mails, i am forced to do a minor modification to the rules, hoping that i will satisfy the majority of the community.
For the ppl that will not be suited or satisfied from this modification, you have my sincere apologies. Plz understand that the pressure was not only heavy, but,in most cases, justified.

If it has to do with your reserve not to sell to highest bid, announcing the winning bid makes it easy to see who made that bid. Explanation please.

This is correct.
There are some ingame players who wish to bid privately for their own reasons.
As a seller, i have to honour their demand. Thats why i made clear from the start, the reserve NOT to sell to the winner of the public auction.
BUT:
The addition of the sniper rule comes to justify the efforts of the public bidders, so they dont feel that they cannot control the price, till the last second.

This is correct, only if the winner will be a "public bidder". In that case of course,there will be no "anonymity" problems from his part.
